I didn't like the Stormcasts because of all the gold when I painted one so I gave up on them. Now I saw this pic.

I am liking this colour. It's not so in your face and bright but subtle. I want to try it out. Does anyone know what colours they used here? I want to try it out and if I like it might start a Stormcast army.

I would guess it's the standard method (Retributor Armour, Reikland Fleshshade, Liberator Gold, Stormhost Silver), but with a much more liberal drybrush of Liberator Gold (that's the main colour coming through) and a thick edge highlight of Stormhost Silver (look at the pectorals to see the thickness of the highlight). Also the photo has a soft blue tone to it that would take out some of the goldness of a standard GW photo.

It's a nice paint job and looks great!

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

It definitely comes out as more silver than gold, which is something I might have to try (though changing a technique halfway through an army is a bit frustrating, we'll have to see how it comes out).

Thank you. I will see if I have those colours and try it out. Greatly appreciate the help.

Yep, heavier drybush of liberator gold and thicker edge highlighting of silver on armour. Definately shaded with Reikland fleshshade and not Agrax Earthshade prior.
Kantor blue edged with temple guard blue on shields and tabbards by the look of it.

Warhammer is the right of all sentient nerds!

Didn't even think of the wash. Thank you for that Alex.

I don't know if I would personally do a thick edge highlight rather than just a normal size one, but I think you'd have to test it to find out.
