My tactics to have the ccs stay back, possibly hold objectives and give orders while providing fire support with the heavy weapons team, the the executioner squads with combat drop in 1st turn with their valkyries and take out high priority threats; turn 2, hopefully the veterans and sentry turrets will deep strike in and mop up anything the executioner squads did not kill and/or secure objectives.

My main concern are the lack of bodies, although I do have a lot of anti infantry, I feel that I'm going to run into trouble against an army like the orks because of my bodies and tanks(I really dont want to add tanks in order to keep the theme of the army)

Any ideas for what I can do to improve?

Does your local allow knights to be played at this low level...

Pretty sure you can't issue orders as Drop Troops. :( No Voice of Command...

Yep no Orders with D-99. Knowing that, I would loose the Vox in exchange for boddies in the Vet Squads.

As you said, this is a very low numbers of Elite, squishy units. If they keep the Combat Drop SR, maybe it would be better to take the Valkyries as Fast Attack choices and decide wich unit will go in them each game. I understand your basic tactic is to use the Valk as Drop pods stand in, but sometimes it could be more usefull to thin out the horde before your Objective Secure Vets come on the board.

Praise the emperor, bless your weapon and pass the ammo!

Ah that sucks, though now the lack of vox will definitely free up some points for more bodies and weapon choices

While I would like to keep the valks in reserve; I need to keep stuff on the table or else I automatically lose if the opponent destroys everything before the valks come in(happened to me before when I played tempestus scions codex); any suggestions for what I should keep on the table?

They probably would if its well painted but they still hate me

Plus I'm trying to keep to the drop troop theme of my army, so for now, I'm trying to avoid the Imperial Knight(unless I can get a mech model that looks like something the Elysians would use, possibly a metal gear model)

I was not referring to Valks per se, but more the Vet Squads themselves. Keeping them inside the Valkyrie is a very good way to help them stay alive until you need to capture that objective.

Sometimes it's important to nuke a target from the get go, that's when you mount up the Extermination Squads in the Valk and go for broke.

What I'm saying is, taking the Valks as Fast Attack choice gives you the flexibility to choose who gets to ride in them.

As I said, good theme, but quite challenging to play!
