Greetings all.
Some of you may have seen i've set myself the insane challenge of painting every Space Marine.
I've got a System where people can Sponsor a Marine to give him a name and a backstory.

This however is gonna be the more regularly updated WIP Blog.

Gonna be posting mostly during the weekends by occasionally during the week too.

Heres my Starting point for every Marine.

I'm working on the base at the moment.

I've never done a Lava base before so this should be interesting...

Looking great so far but it could use a little bone action in some of the flat black areas. Big part of the LOD theme.

This Legion of the Damned is getting harder and harder

Never free handed fire before and now i gotta free hand bones D:

I'll do some research on how and where they should be though

Anyways i just wanted to show how far i got last night.
Was pretty tired (New job is still taking some getting used to) so i got the Marine finished to a good degree and now i'm gonna focus on the weapon and the backpack.

ALSO

The tools i bought for this project have made my life so much easier. A wet Palette and Magnifying Glasses.

Yeah it would still have a barrel.

Looking awesome so far! Definitely needs some bones! Think "Halloween skeleton man suit" and that's the right idea!

Well if you really want him thats not an issue

And as for bones i'll try and get a start on that tomorrow but i've never freehanded bones before

Gonna make a concerted effort to get the Legion finished today and make a start on the Iron Hand.
Not feeling great atm due to a flu virus but we'll see where we get to.

Really liking the blue in the plasma gun. Helps set off the whole scheme and gives it a proper finished look. The weathering on the edges of some of the armour plates is also really good. Black armour really needs that.
