What do you guys think is currently great about Warmachine and Hordes?

Personally, I think their models have been getting better and better! I really love Azrael, Loki and Horgle!

Despite my issues with my local WarmaHordes community, I will openly admit that the new Grimkin look absolutely awesome and amazing! I like how we are getting Old Witch 2 riding an upgraded Scrapjack, and she can be used in two different armies.

Bell of Lost Souls did a good recap of what was announced.

Really excited for the new faction. Super interested to see how a faction without feats will play.

Also those Piggy Backs are awesome.

The models (and more importantly the materials) seem to be getting much better.

I think the living ruleset and community involvement is a very good move. They were already better than most about balance and adjusting big problems (Though the MKII theme reign of terror went on a bit long)

Thanks for the link, if I wasn't so stuck into Khador I would love to start this faction.

epic Scrapjack will play for Khador. So you will buy it.

Because epic Scrappy

As for what is great, I'm having an awesome time in my local metas. We have several different metas and each of them is filled with predominantly great blokes who love playing a fun game, be they using their beatiest lists or be they using some fluffy thing they have gotten painted up and are jazzed to play. New tournaments cropping up, local PGs who love the game and work hard to grow it, stores pitching in, it's just good times here in Brisbane really

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

I love Khador.

I don't really play Warmachine. I just play Khador.

Those look like nice minis. Are they metal? I might come back to just collecting. I gave up Trolls after trying to do trolls and they had mold lines down the middle of the faces.

Then trying to do a Legion metal mini and screwed it up because I can't work with metal, I just gave up totally.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

I agree, there are some great sculpts coming out and I like that they continue to update older versions of models.

This Goreshade is on my buy list even though he will likely never see table time.

As a big Goreshade fan, this makes the original figure look like a lump of poo.

Goreshade 1 is actually quite good in small pt games due to his feat.
The new faction looks interesting. But I'm working on Circle atm.

Hmm, Every time I see horgle, I can only see Cleveland brown junior.

What's great about WMH?

Really enjoying mk3. CID is a very progressive approach. Great models. Great fluff. Great hobby side.

Really, I have no reason to not enjoy anything they've presented lately.

Really enjoying MK3. Power up makes warjacks really dynamic. I still find the games interesting, and I like the recent balance updates.

If you enjoy playing jacks, then mk3 will give you a great time.
However, I'm more an infantry player fielding mainly Crxy in mk2. Then the times right now are not so hot.

What's great about Warmachine now?

I'm loving the new caster cygnar got in the battlebox when MK3 dropped, and I still enjoy the fluff

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

Same here, really. I actually have never played a game of WM despite having my Khador starter box painted for the last 5 years.

I do have a Rhulic force (unpainted) stowed away somewhere and a painted Circle starter, but Khador is what got me into the game in the first place and Khador is what just brought me back.

I have to say that I love how the new models look, too. They're amazing.

eScrapjack is a Khador warcaster, and a pretty dang good one at that.
