So I have an epic game planned at some point soon and was curious what people's thoughts are toward the interaction of I'll Show You the Dark Side and Huge Ships.

Since ISYDS says you deal the damage card instead of suffering critical results, and instead of using the regular damage deck you use the ship specific one...does the epic ship just get the pilot critical (which could be interesting with the no straight maneuver one) or do you try to deal the pilot card...then it gets replaced with one from the ship's deck?

RAW: the game breaks as soon as you try to use ISYTDS in an epic game with one or more huge ships involved. ISYTDS refers to "the damage deck", singular, while epic with huge ships has multiple damage decks. You can't determine which damage deck to search, the game can not continue.

RAW: The rules for epic ships state that all damage cards dealt to them must come from the ship-specific damage decks. The way I would rule it is that ISYTDS is applied to the epic ship, you search the ship-specific damage deck (from your choice of section, as specified by the "if a damage source doesn't specify a section the opponent picks" rule) for any "pilot" crit, and then when you are unable to find one (as no epic damage deck currently has "pilot" crits) you discard ISYTDS by the "if there is no card on here remove it" rule. This might seem equivalent to "you can't use ISYTDS", but because ISYDTS is assigned and then removed it satisfies (pilot) Kylo Ren's mandatory ISYTDS for the first ship to damage him.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.
