I just read the most recent faq that stated that an Apothecary is no longer a veteran once he is upgraded and can no longer take special wargear.... well what about the Company Champion? that 6+ isn't gonna help him that much. Personally I think it's ridiculous that the newest faq directly contradicts the previous faq.

No the Champ is not a Veteran and cannot take Veteran only upgrades.

Also, it wasn't until the recent FAQ they had a ruling on this, so there is no contradiction.

The Draft-FAQ said Yes in the picture, but the post clarified it was suppose to be no. So it does not even contradict the draft.

Yeah the Faq kinda killed command squads. GWreally wants to sell eldar / admech at the moment so expect more nerfs as we go.

I'm trying to make sense of the this blurb from the ITC FAQ:

"In a Space Marine Command Squad, so long as a Veteran does not replace a weapon required for the upgrade, it may purchase any of the Veteran options and then be upgraded to an Apothecary or Company Champion."

Does this mean an Apothecary can carry a stormshield or grav gun at ITC events?
