Jealous that Horus is Warmaster

Hey all,

Instead of using the old standard Omega Leader to fill out the points in my Maarek/ Quickdraw list, I thought I'd test out another idea (semi inspired by another player at my FLGS recently).

======================
The Quick And The Dead
======================
100 points

“Quickdraw” (37)
Special Forces TIE (29), Draw Their Fire (1), Fire-Control System (2), Targeting Synchronizer (3), Special Ops Training (0), Lightweight Frame (2)

Maarek Stele (34)
TIE Defender (35), A Score to Settle (0), TIE/x7 (-2), Twin Ion Engine Mk. II (1)

Gamma Squadron Veteran (29)
TIE Bomber (19), Deadeye (1), Proton Torpedoes (4), Extra Munitions (2), Proximity Mines (3), Guidance Chips (0)

The idea was to use Quickdraw's fcs as a way to let the Bomber fire his torps and still have a modification of his own (either his own TL if he can get it or a focus if he can't) ... I thought about using Concussion missiles instead of Proton Torpedoes (less need for the focus to modify), but I thought Proton would be better on turns where Quickdraw is out of range and the Gamma vet uses Deadeye to fire.

Thoughts?

I'd be tempted to not to have the prox mine and load up on extra munitions and a few missels or torps, i just think a lone bomber is just too squishy to close and get into a good bombing position

It might also be worth going for VI and LRS over Deadeye / Gchips, the VI would put you above non-VI defenders and a few other popular ships, you could still use QD'S locks, but for the first exchange being able to have two targets locked to choose from might be handy, or use QD lock to fire and Gammas for re-rolls plus with fancy flying you can still get use of QD locks and self focus in later turns, or just go slow to maintain r3
