Just wondering what the Dakkites are all playing in Mk3, factionwise. Let's cap this poll at 7-14 days and do a new poll after that?

This poll does allow for multiple choices.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I am only playing Trolls at the moment. Toward the end of Mk2 I
started breaking out my Protectorate models because the high
end troll game was built on light beast spam with Calandra and
Runeshapers with Doomshaper, but a team event and the
announcement for Mk3 got me to reconsider my focus and
stay with trolls. I figure I need to get something right before I
move on to anything else.

I made a khador force in a journeymen league at MK3 launch, that was good fun. I some trolls and Cygnar that need work on. I am going to focus on trolls for now.

I played the Circle lads in a journeyman last fall, as well as some fun games vs RiTides. Now I am making a counts as Skorne army centered on Xerxes 2 and all the beasts, because he looks like a ton of crazy fun. (And because Circle feels less fun this edition.) I am also knocking together something for the Circle Wolfsworn Theme, as I have been wanting to field Grayle for a long time, so long as I don't actually have to use the official model.

Mainly Circle and Menoth.

I also have a Rhulic army I'm tinkering with

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

I am continuing to play Cryx as my main faction. Skorne are my secondary and Hordes faction.

I am collecting Legion and find myself intrigued by the new Retribution models that were just spoiled. They look pretty neat.

I am really looking forward to playing against this

I'm just running Minions, but we've gotten so many options and possibilities in MK3 that it is a really great time to be a Minions player! Just wish the game in general was doing a little better, but I love our new tech . Current plan is to run one list each of the farrow and blindwater themes now that both have been released, with Arkadius and Maelok.

Why less fun? Less shenanigans and more straight up dps?

I don't have any playing time, so I just ticked off the groups I have any Battlegroups for, Mercenaries and Skorne.

I really want to buckle down and focus on one, and Skorne has more options to expand with.

Are you a Wolf, a Sheep, or a Hound?

Yea, that's pretty much it. Shifting Stones don't really do a lot since things can charge farther, sometimes much farther, so they are stuck on heal/fury removal duty. Sprint is self only, so it is used on one beast and a handful of casters that get things done themselves. Druids are... different? Maybe not bad, but not able to push-pull, just push. Lord of the Feast is worse (somehow). Geomancy is much less useful now that it can't cycle upkeeps. Just a lot of the weird little tricks and hijinx got removed. Some new stuff got added, but over all there is a lot less of a "Where the hell will my guys be next turn? I don't even know!" sort of feel. Previously I felt like most of my lists would thrive on chaos on the board, very hard to predict and able to pull strange game states out of their asses. Now it all feels a lot more linear and predictable, and a little more "apply buff/debuff, insert wolf" than before.

I dunno, I might be missing some things, or just bored with the faction after 5+ years, but there hasn't been any fun tricks that have me excited to try them out. Maybe Loki will prove rewarding to clever play in a new way, but I don't know.

Well, I played Skorne in mk1. Then in mk2 I switched to Cryx - very satisfactory, and got a Cyriss army - not so easy to play. In mk3, I started Circle but its still in a building stage.

Loki with Kaya3 were the go-to substitution for Una2 at the ATC post-nerf, iirc.

There were some Mohsars and Kaya2s as well.

Yea, it was neat to see Moh on some tournament tables. Kaya2 is always pretty fun too, although mostly just for silly chess problems. Granted, I think I enjoy pulling the feat and asking my opponent to kill 3-4 heavies behind his lines immediately or lose a little too much. When when it is wildly inappropriate

I can't vote. I can't play because I have no player base where I live. Tried to see if there is interest, but people are just sticking to 40K, and starting Age of Sigmar. No interest in Warmahordes in my area.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

I played a bit of Khador at the beginning of Mk3, but I've since been playing some Skorne. They were my main during Mk2, and I wasn't so quick to drop them during that rough beginning that Mk3 brought.

Going to begin keeping track of my W/L/D record, just so i can track my progress as a general

Onyxian "Stryers" Armored Regiment W/D/L
2500 pts, 1% painted 3/0/0

Warhammer Fantasy: W/L/D
Tomb King 500 pts 1/0/0

The only army I have kept (even though I have sold or traded most of it off multiple times) since Mk.1, Khador. It seems my only army now, it has just been expanded on quite a bit recently. Finally want to finish it.

I currently have Convergence, Cephalyx, and Farrow Minions.
Will likely end up with Grymkin to round it out. LOL

This is really strange.
Here half of the 40k players started WMH in 2014. In the meanwhile, they play both 40k and WMH.

I think the numbers here used to be about 75% of each play both, and WMH has been going strong since before the Mk 2 transition. It may be less. A few have gotten out of 40K, some have gotten out of Mk3, while others are focusing on their DFC, Infinity, or Fantasy collections and games.

FWIW, Loki's drag made shifting stones significantly more interesting as far as I'm concerned.

I'm just starting out Retribution. I've bought just shy of 50 pts worth of dudes, and I'm working on painting them. I'm hoping to have my battlegroup painted in the next couple of weeks, and I've already got a unit of Riflemen painted up to go with them.

Once I've gotten the hang of them, I've got a strong interest in Circle, and maybe Rhulic. I always wanted a Dwarf army...
