Hi guys

Been working on some new skaven lists, and would like to add Thanquol and boneripper to the mix. I thinks it is an absolutely amazing miniature and would love to paint one.
But is he worth the point tag of 500? The list I was thinking about including him in looks something like this.

-Verminlord deciever (Chaos runeblade)
-Thanquol and boneripper (General)
3x 10 clan rats (battleline)
10 gutter runners
3x warpfirethrower/poisen wind mortars
20 stormvermin
4 rat ogres
Doomwhell

1960 points.

So does anyone have any experience with Thanquol?

Thanks

Cheers!

With Warpfire projectors he is worth it. 2D6 mortal wounds? May be a killing... Add 2 offensiwe spells so twice D3 wounds. Or D3 and plus to save (you might get a reroll on failed spells!). Oh, and guy is healing one wound per turn. Have him, use him, like him.

And if you squeeze somehow a unit of Stormfiends, it might be nice list.

Thanks for the reply.
I like the stormfiends, but I think they're just at bit too cheesy for my taste. Not that stormvermin with a 5++ save is much better, but at least it's not 6d3 mortal wounds afsted turn :-D

Stormvermins are bread and butter for every Skaven army

I have one unit of Stormfiends, and it is only 2D3 mortal wounds. I have one each: with projectors, cannons, and grinderfists. A little of everything, gives nice variety to the unit.

I play mostly against Stormcast or Orcs Brutes, and skaven are rather fragile against them.

Ahh I see, I totally missed the fact that you can have different equipment on them. I deffinetly have to try them out

It is worth to try, really. They might be overpower, but usually I'm playing big battles around 2k. One unit of Stormfiends does not guarantee to win the battle. I prefer diversity and fun, more than winning with overpower units.
