Monolith has announced that they are bring the comic version of Batman to Kickstarter, later this year.

I'm sure there will be a plethora of minis that come with it as it will be using the game system they had in Conan. But a version 2.0. Like Descent and many other games have done.

Wonder if the minis will be compatible with the knight minis game? Ill probably end up backing it either way , but it would be a nice extra bonus

I suspect there will be enough minis to allow you to build crews for the Knight Models games, and since KM puts out the stat cards as pdf files you should be able to play with these just fine.

I'm hoping for several batman sculpts and deathstroke. If this is conan quality, it will be amazing. Looks like I'm in

These minis will be 35mm and unpainted. I don't know if the Knight Mini are the same size, but they are pre-painted, yes?

No, Knight Models minis are not pre-painted. They are 35mm.

HeroClix are pre-painted.

So what reasons do you all have for backing this Monolith KS over Batman miniatures games on the market? I'm guessing HC sculpts don't have enough detail (I also didn't like the game system, but that was many years ago), and Knight Models are expensive, but I'd like to hear opinions why Monolith over WizKids. Thanks!

I had HeroClix, many moons ago. And I hated the fact that the mats were dull, lifeless and forever moving. That, plus the consent picking up and clicking and referencing all the powers, forced me to sell it on.

The system for this new game is based on the Conan game, from Monolith, which I really adore. Obviously, they are tweaking it to make it fit this DC world. Everything about the production was of top notch quality (except the first edition rules) and this will easily replace Conan for me. My shelf's can only hold X amount! I love Batman, although my daughter will wish that it was a Marvel game =)

Love Conan , mythic battles pantheon looks excellent (and im sure ill enjoy it when it arrives ) so i expect this to be a quality board game that ill enjoy , and its Batman ill be backing this AS well as playing the Knight Minis game , should be completely different types of games , if minis are cross compatable (officially or unofficially ) then so much the better

Heroclix models tend to be awful. Paint jobs suck (ok, the Archangel one I got was well painted but with no detail) and some details are garbage; I had to replace Avalanche's entire head, and I will likely do something similar with Storm in regards to her face. Detail...it's okay on the. Key and often crap on the face. But the paint sucks 98% of the time.
