Heylo ladies and gents.

So here is the thing I am playing the beastmen campaign and am having a hell of a time with kharzak starting. The two towns have 2 armies in each, and by turn 4 they know where my hidden camps are and kill me.

I am really confused here, I build up I lose I attack at best I can win but still lose to much before another army comes. Or I try and lay seige and I end up lossing attrition because my armies are together. I seperate them and I get double teamed.....

I need to go to work every day.

1. When encamped, try to have your armies off the beaten path.

2. Where Kazrak starts, you can usually beast path move to a location at the base of the mountain, thats in between all 3 of Estalias provinces. Its forest and there is only one way in. If you're discovered, you can jump away and attack a city thats undefended.

3.The armies will eventually move, just watch them and pounce when they leave a city. Either ambush the armies or raze the cities while they are away.

4. Attrition only happens if you have negative "rage" or are in a region that causes it. Its most likely negative rage, as Beastmen suffer no penalties for being close to each other, unlike Chaos Warriors.

5. Use all your growth surplus to upgrade the main camp building, then use it to upgrade the building that produces Gors. After that, do whatever. The main building will get you higher growth per turn, and the Gors can generally hold their own early game.

6. I prefer skills that reduce upkeep or increase currency from raiding/looting as its sometimes feast or famine for Beastmen, and having a big bank account will reduce that strain a bit. For heroes, generally the skills that upgrade the army.

Ymmv, but hope that helps.

I normally merge the armies and disband the second lord, raze Bilbali and Tobaro, then either draw the air stack out and then raze Magritta. If they won't come out then I siege them out. You have unlimited time.

Ultra-Ultramarines are a great idea.
