So I see many run either slugga and choppa or shoota. But I found in the codex it says, "can replace slugga with shoota." No where does it say choppa as well. So is it possible to run with boyz who have choppas and shootas?
I am very new player and was wondering about it myself some time ago. If you run the slugga choppa you get an extra attack on the charge since the choppa is counted as a hand weapon (see the rules for pistols) You will allways have the choppa since the boyz dont have any otter option. So the question is do you want range with the shoota or charge attack from the slugga.

You get the extra attack on the charge regardless of what they are armed with. That's separate from the extra attack you get in close combat for having two close combat weapons.
You will allways have the choppa since the boyz dont have any otter option. So the question is do you want range with the shoota or charge attack from the slugga.
