(Apologies if this has been covered, already, and I've just failed at searching, properly.)
.
Is there a list of what GW (and Forgeworld) weapons, vehicles, and the like would be available during the Horus Heresy?
(Basically curious as to that already existing kits can be used with little to no conversion.)

Forgeworld are quickly filling in gaps and dakkas collective brain can easily work out a good kitbash method.

Even if not a model dakka probbly knows how to make one

Most basic infrianty weapons are made, most of armour suits. trhough one kit or another there there,

the ones we don't have are every legions special units but that il cnage soon im sure. and many can be built from other kits with dakkas hive mind.

Weapon wise there's bolters of many flavours.
Volkite.
Laser cannons
Melta,
Missile launcher
Plasmas
Combis
Cc options
Pistols/bolt.. Mixed kinds
Some you can get chain axes, scythes etc
There's the jump packs.

Multiple armour marks

Terminator in 3 kinds.
Several legion specific.

Mixed termy wepons. Probbly not all.
Imperial fists only got there sheilds recently.

There's the snipers with power armour.

Moraits I think are coming soon.
Got destroyers.

From the infrianty . Well covered.

Are you thinking of what GW plastic kits can be used?

Off the top of my head;

- Rhinos (plus Predators, Vindicators, Whirlwinds, but not Razorback, Stalker, Hunter)
- Drop Pod
- Land Raider (only the base variant, not Crusader or Redeemer)
- Dreadnoughts (not Ironclad)

- Terminators (certain weapon restrictions apply - Assault Cannons and Storm Shields are restricted to specific legions)

- Regular Marine parts in Mk6, Mk5 or Mk4 armour - various bits are found throughout the Marine and Chaos ranges.
- MK7 armour is contentious - generally it shouldn't be used but parts of it were being developed at the time and certain legions had access to some around the time of the Sieege so use with caution!
- Most Character models in variant or artificer-style armour.

- Land Speeders (MK7 crew are contentious)
- Bikes (as above)
- Attack Bikes (as above)

Unhealthy Competition With Other Legions

Nottingham / Sheffield

GW produce several plastic infantry box sets:
The 'classic' terminators:
Spoiler:

- 5 pairs of Lightning claws
5 thunder hammers
5 storm/combi-bolters and powerfists.
1 power sword

Cataphractii Terminators (Calth box)
Spoiler:

5 pairs of Powerfists,
5 combi-bolters
1 heavy flamer
5 pairs of lightning claws

Tartaros Terminators (Prospero)
Spoiler:

Power fists, plasma blaster, heavy flamer, reaper autocannon, lightning claws, combi-bolters.

GW also produce plastic HH tacticals:
Spoiler:

MKIII tacticals (Prospero box)
- 10 Phobos-pattern bolters
- 11 chainswords (one left-handed, allowing a Sergeant to take 2 chainswords),
- 1 heavy bolter,
- 1 power sword, (LH)
- 1 power fist, (LH)
- 1 Phobos-pattern bolt pistol,
- 1 plasma pistol,
- 1 lightning claw, (LH, uses power fist part)
- 1 melta gun,
- 1 plasma gun,
[spoiler]
MKIV tacticals squad (Calth)
[spoiler]
- 10 tigrus bolters
- 10 holstered CCWs
- 1 chainsword (LH)
- 1 powersword (LH)
- 1 bolt pistol (RH)
- 1 power fist / lightning claw
- 1 combi-flamer/melta/plasma
- 1 plasma gun
- 1 meltagun
- 1 missile launcher
- 1 heavy bolter

Guaranteed accepted parts:
Spoiler:

MK6 heads (beaky helmets) on MKIV bodies. There is at least one in the MK7 tactical box. They are going for about £1.50 on bits sellers.
Standard scouts (as recon marines in carapace armour), this is also the only way to get plastic sniper rifles as far as I know.
Off-hand weapons, like chainswords.
Sangunary guard jump-packs on mkIV.
Any rogue-trader era bits.
Bikes and landspeeders with MK4 torsos and heads.

Parts that puritans might complain about:
Spoiler:

whole MK7 marines, or anything using the MK7 torso and head.
MK7 devastators

Vehicles
Spoiler:

Rhino
Autocannon predators
TL-Lascannon Land Raiders
Vindicators WITHOUT the siege shield, you can't have them in HH.
Any 'standard' dreadnought (the boxnaught), using venerable and siege parts can be used to represent certain upgrades in the red rulebooks.

That should be fairly comprehensive.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Forgeworld produce every tactical armour pattern, (MK2, 3, 4, 5 and 6)
They do at least 5 flavours of bolter, two styles of standard special weapons and at least one style of each heavy weapon.
They also do combi-bolters in large quantities.
These resin weapon parts are compatible with the plastic MK3 and MK4 power armour.

Notable things that FW do, but GW doesn't:

For terminators:
Legion - specific cataphractii shoulderplates
Cataphractii power axe upgrade set.
Additional terminator weapons.

Note:
FW Tartaros terminators are NOT compatible with GW's plastics, the resins have a seperate raiser under the shoulderguard that the plastics incorporate into the powerfist arm. This make putting resin equiptment on to plastics quite hard.

For tacticals:
Nuncio-voxes
legion AND armour specific shoulder plates.
Assorted, armour specific melee weapons.
Heresy era assault squads (proper legs, weapons and jump packs)
Breacher shields
left-handed bolt pistols.

This has mostly been covered already, but there are a few points worth mentioning:

Land Raider Achilles: No proper plastic kit, but relatively easily converted if you get a Thunderfire Cannon and a Land Raider.

Damocles Rhino: A large radar dish is a fairly trivial thing to construct from plasticard and spare parts, stick it on a Rhino and you're good to go.

Scouts: The only official models for Recon squads at present are in power armour, so they're sort of necessary for the carapace option. Carapace armour isn't covered in as much detail as power armour so I'm unsure whether purists would take issue with it.

Chaos Raptors: They only really make visual sense as late-Heresy Night Lords, but they do fit much better into a Heresy list than most 40k models. CSM generally could be appropriate for a late-Heresy Impossible City/Siege of Terra sort of army.

Techmarines: The current resin Techmarines look to have customized Mk.III armour, they seem like they'd work out well.

Rapiers: Kataphron treads make a great base. They've got almost exactly the same footprint/height, you just need to scrounge up the spare weapon barrels to load them up and some extra Marines/Militiamen to play crew.

And for GW kits used in the Heresy outside the Legions:

Skitarii (Vanguard, not Rangers), Guardsmen, Chaos Cultists, most Leman Russes (not the Punisher), Basilisks, all the Baneblade variants, the entire Daemon range, and most builds out of the Imperial Knight kit are used pretty much as-is.

And obviously with the Talons list now the Custodian and Sisters of Silence plastic kits are the core of a 30k army list.

And finally Deathwatch/GK kits are absolutely inappropriate for the Heresy 99.998% of the time, but for that other 0.002% of the time you could use those parts as starting points when converting a Knight-Errant without a specific model.

l.

To the Rhino. I have seen people chop off the gun part of a Stalker and use the rest as a Rhino(You could even find use for the guns, maybe as a type of weapon platform
Another friend of mine uses chaos raptors for Word Bearer Ashen Circle conversions to represent late heresy versions of them(and destroyers too)

HQ wise with bitz and prices from thr various kits, upgrades and 40k kits if needed if its not a primarch you probably could make all of the various options such as cataparacti armour, power armour, paragon blades can take many forms.

Bit of creatively has that covered.

There are kits for various add ons such as vox crews, apocaheries, veterans, and champions.

What about the GW aircraft?
(I know which FW aircraft are good amnd i figure that the heldrake is out, but what about things like the stormtalon, storm raven, and stormfang/wolf*?)
.
.
(*also! do the GW folks know that there are other prefixes than 'storm' that they can add to things?)

for legions, the closest you can get to a plastic plane is to convert a storm raven gunship into a storm eagle or fire raptor (SUPER easy actually)

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.
