Very enjoyable read, the pictures were very clear and the arrows/labels helped make things understood.

It's kind of interesting that while MANZ are usually considered pretty good units, they aren't so great against most of their own codex: it not having much AV13+ or 2+ saves. Also that Kan dealing with the battlewagon was beautiful and the SAG mek worked as expected.

40k drinking game: take a shot everytime a book references Skitarii using transports.

Thanks!
Yes - killa kans were awesome in this game. What is funny - I took them only because I haven't finished painting dreadnought.

And SAG died in the same way (5,5 for strength) in previous battle!

Mate this is bloody fantastic!

I haven't finished reading it yet but I just had to say, the specially drawn art is brilliant, the armies and scenery are beautiful, the photography is really clear. Everything is just spot on. I reckon White Dwarf should be giving you a call!

I love the story as well, I don't know why it never occurred to me that Orks could beat a demon sword into submission but it is such a cool idea.
Definitely inspirational for my own humble Snakebite 'horde' (currently standing at 15 slugga's and 2 grots painted )

I really hope you post some more battle reports, although I appreciate that it must take a lot of work to get them to this standard.

Great stuff! I loved it.

Beautiful terrain, beautiful armies, and I have never seen a battle with custom art before. The quality of the photos is excellent as well. You are raising the bar for photo battle reports. Check out my latest a little farther down the forum (orks vs marines). I think we have a lot in common in how we set up a battle report and what we want to see. But your extra art work really puts your report up a notch. And your photos are better quality than mine. I'll do my best to try to match your quality on my next one.

You must have excellent lighting to get such nice, bright photos. Any tips you can share?

After reading Your report I must agree - our approach is quite similar

Concerning photos - for this report I used sony rx100 mk3 - the key element is tripod and manual settings - long exposure and high aperture value.
I don't use any special lighting - just additional regular lamp with led bulbs.

Ah I see, can't let the Orks keep running around with a Daemon sword I guess.

Good stuff!

Thanks for the tips. I will definitely try that next time. Your photos look so much nicer than mine.
