Hey guys, been out of Wargaming for a while (New job, new town, moved away from my gaming club), but I recently discovered a local gaming club in my current town, and they play Warmachine a lot. I've watched a fair bit and I'm keen to get into it. One guy went through the fluff of all the armies (I like to pick armies based on fluff, and sort out the crunch later), and I fell in love with the Gatormen straight away. They've agreed to play some 10 point games with me so I can learn the rules (They usually play 35 points, so that's where I'll head eventually). Is this a good list to start out with?

Calaban1
Blackhide Wrastler
Blind Walker

Min Croak Raiders

Doesn't need to be tournament level competitive, just needs to be a functional reasonable start

You may want to use a min gatorman posse unit and play in theme.

Ignore the statement about Rask. He is now officially allowed to be used in this theme.

Have fun and chow down.

Sounds like a good idea. The rules for the theme are different in the print book I have are different. Mine says I put down 2 AOEs of shallow water. Do I have an older version? Where can I get up to date rules?

Also, do the Bonus points my warlock gives me count toward the free beast I get with the theme?

You can get a lot of good info from battle college. It sounds like you have the MK2 rules. The newest system is Mk3 all of the new cards have a flag toward the upper right corner with a version number on them.

The bonus is not in points but it is in figures. Some themes give free models but it is a limited scope of models.

You can get the newest rulebook for free from the PP web site.
