This weekend in the UK its the bank holiday Easter weekend. So that means four days off

Now that we have decent weather and more daylight I'll be using it as a good opportunity to undercoat scenery and varnish finished projects. I'll also hopefully finish off my stormwing, and a mineral crusher terrain item.

I was wondering what others are working on? Please post any progress pics to help motivate the rest of us!

I've been fighting through roughly 150+ models for my Tzeentch Daemon army. I'm mostly finished now, and keep realizing I need to buy more models, and kits.

Just finished these 11.

I'm also learning getting transports for Lord of Change (foam wise) is going to be super annoying.

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.

I have a problem.

Being contrary for the sake of being contrary doesn't make you unique, it makes you annoying.

Dam they look good! The colour transitions are sweet. Am I right in thinking you have brush blended those?

This actually a is a formidable achievement, consider the fact that you didn't use an airbrush.

About projects I am currently making a small force of Space Wolves (WIP):

Unfortunately I will be working on Easter celebrations, so I won't have to move forward with my projects.

Dont have any photos but I'm halfway through two sentry pylons, ones completed, the second is cleaned and prepped ready for assembly and paint. And I've started prepping my Nightshroud bomber for sub assembly. Super keen to get stuck into it, going to be much easier gold leafing this one!

This is the MDF mineral crusher I want to get finished by the end of the week. Not aiming for anything too spectacular, but getting a little fed up of playing with unpainted terrain!

I'm slowly paining the new LoC as a dual-use mini. Either a regular LoC, or a more powerful LoC using Magnus's rules.

This is one bad ass of a conversion mate! Great work!

I am not going to have time at eastern for my Wolves, so I am currently repainting old, badly painted models of mine and then I apply Matte Varnish. The color wheel says that purple is a compound color to blue, but I am not sure if this color goes well on blue. I think I should have gone for yellow/orange:

Plasticard of varying thicknesses, i bought a "sampler" pack, but the thickest armor plates are about 1/16th.
Beyond that i bought a ton of cheap flexible plastic tubing from home depot in a 1/4" OD 17/100" ID. The smokestack on killsaw guy and the armor plates and arm extensions are all made of that tubing.

The rest are just random bits i found and repurposed. Wires/batteries from a busted alarm clock i had in my closet, and bits from my bits box. The mask on saw guy is a front bumper piece off of a biker nob, for example.

Grim Dark Angels Interrogator-Chaplain

A Protoss colony world

I've got multiple projects in progress, in various stages of completion:
Dark Angels Battle Company: All models assembled except for 3 Drop Pods, some painting completed. This is my current priority.
Dark Angels Ravenwing Silence Squadron: 1 flyer partially painted, 2 more unassembled
Tau Army: Most stuff assembled, some painted. I intend to add at least 2 more Riptides and 2 more Ghostkeels to my collection at some point. I've put work on this army on hold for the moment so that I can concentrate on my Dark Angels.
Khorne Daemonkin/Chaos Marines/Chaos Daemons: Same as Tau above. I may start acquiring some Daemon models to build toward a Tzeentch and Nurgle-themed psyker-heavy Daemons build, but that will wait a little while.
Dreadball Xtreme Starter Set: I'm very slowly painting the models from the box set. I've painted just 4 of them, leaving plenty more to go. Not a priority at the moment.
Warmachine/Hordes: More of a future project. I've come up with a starter box from the Circle faction; I may add to it and start playing the game by the end of the year, but probably not sooner.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000
Check out my P&M Blogs: ZergSmasher's P&M Blog | Imperial Knights blog | Board Games blog | Total models painted in 2023: 40 | Total models painted in 2024: 12 | Current main painting project: Dark Angels

I haven't been painting that much (a combination of having too much with Nier: Automata and FF XV, pains and other stresses) but I really want to use my 3 days to take care of 5 Ironjawz Brutes for this month's Painting Challenge. The base color stage is almost done, I'm only missing the leader.

Morning peeps!
Update on the kustom bullyboyz i'm working on. Now focusing on the Megaboss i plan to run with the MANZ.

Here is his weapon, in all of it's orky glory. 100% kustom sculpted, everything here is plasticard, greenstuff, or tubing. The actual blades of the axe are 1/2 the size of my regular MANZ bodies.
The front side is actually a bit shiny, i took the pic before it had dried properly after i sprayed it with primer. Looks less off-tone now.
