Hi everyone, I'm looking for players in Manhattan or New York for a bunch of game systems. I have recently moved to the US from London and I'm trying to create or join a gaming circle.
I mostly play warhammer battle (the old "herohammer" versions, v4&5), wh40k and 30k (current version) and pretty much any of the specialist games. More on the thematic/campaign side than the competitive one! I'm also interested in historical games (mostly 28mm Napoleonic, WWI, HYW).
Happy to join an existing club or to host games at my place!

I know there are a few groups on facebook in that area that are pretty active. if you have an acct, try searching for warhammer 40k & horus heresy 30k forum for gaming and hobby nyc long island is the name of the group. The brooklyn statregist is also a place to check. We are kicking off a 30k campaign over here in Jersey, you are welcome to join us but it might be a bit of a hike for you.

It's been years but when I lived in New York we played in Manhattan on 33rd and 5th on Thursday nights at Compleat Strategist.

I've heard there's a lot of gaming in Brooklyn now too.

Thanks guys! I have tried player finder, let's see if it yields interesting results. I have heard about the compleat strategist, the website seems dead, but I will go check the store out.

I'm surprised there aren't more players in NYC, I thought it would be full of keen people, but not much luck so far!

i found that in manhattan not too many people play. You can check out nu brand but i am not sure how much 40k/30k is played there.

I would be interested in kings of war or better yet historicals. I live on long island but can make it into the city for an evening.

The thing in NY is housing is either really small or far from the city so keeping terrain, a table, or a large collection is hard. Course I imagine London is the same so...

The compleat strategist website is fairly dead but the club is still regular. Brooklyn had an active club too. I work in the city but live an hour outside. Other 40kcommunities within 45min of the city is ordo malleus in nanuet. http://s15.zetaboards.com/Ordo_Malleus/index/

I moved to Jersey City about 5 months ago and work in Manhattan and with the new edition announcement am looking to get back into 40K as well. If anyone here knows of anything on the JC side preferably, but Manhattan is doable as well.

I'll likely be moving to Manhattan later this year and will be interested in AoS/40k as well.

We have a small group in Queens that gets together pretty regularly for 40k.

In addition, there's a couple of places in Brooklyn that have a fairly active 30k/40k/AoS player community. Easily accessible via public transportation from Manhattan.

Check out the Player Finder and Store Finder on the top menu for more ideas.

Also check out the Compeat Strategist on 33rd and 5th. I hear 40k is fairly defunct there now (I played there an age ago) but if the space is still there it might be time to bring it back.
