Elite Tyranid Warrior

I am curious about the game. It as been around for a long time, which can be a good thing and a bad thing. Can anyone give me a little synopsis of the gameplay or recommend any reviews or ARRs that could give me an idea of what it plays like?

It is very beer and pretzels.

For large scale games I use Modern Spearhead.

For moderate sized games I use Cold War Commander.

For skirmish sized games I use Saber Squadron.

The black rage is within us all. Lies offer no shield against it. You speak of donning the black of duty for the red of brotherhood; but it is the black of rage you shall wear when the end comes.

Cold War Commander left me a bit.... cold. The activation method did not feel very "modern" to me.

Beyond that, I have little extra input into the genre.
