First couple of squads for my army. These are the first models I've painted in a very long time, but it was a great learning process. Hopefully I will continue to refine my skills as I get deeper into the army. I know they're not perfect but hopefully they're good enough for the tabletop!

These look great! You are being too hard on yourself! I love how you highlighted the black up to green - it almost makes it look like marble or something.

Thanks! I saw someone on YouTube highlighting black with some Secret Weapon tire paint, which is a weird green/black color. I didn't have any but I mixed up what I could.

These are great! The colors of the robes on the leader are really well done as is the basing you have done on all of them. I would love to fight them!

Thank you, the bases were very simple. A bit of torn up cork with Army Painter gravel and static grass. I am definitely looking forward to playing a game with them but at this point I'm only about 220 points in hah.

Hello Luciferian, Your paint work on Your Ravenwing Biker Squads are excellent. :-)

The winged hoods on the fronts of the Raven Wing Bikes look perfect.

You have done a great job!

I like the backdrops You placed Your models on.

I think they look very good (don't care much for the bases). I will say that the background for the photos doesn't help show them off though. I think something far simpler would do it better.

Thank you very much! I definitely focus on the fronts of the bikes and the feathers, sometimes to the detriment of the rest of the model. When I started this army I didn't know how much of a pain it was going to be!

Anyway, thanks again for the kind words.

Thank you! I will keep that in mind for the next group I finish.

I like these models, you've done great work on them! Much better than my Ravenwing attempts, which I've only painted a couple and they were among my first ever 40k models I attempted to paint. Seeing stuff like this makes me want to get the rest of my Ravenwing painted.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000
Check out my P&M Blogs: ZergSmasher's P&M Blog | Imperial Knights blog | Board Games blog | Total models painted in 2023: 40 | Total models painted in 2024: 12 | Current main painting project: Dark Angels

Let me know if you want to share notes if you do decide to paint your Ravenwing. I've been working on doing them more efficiently, because the first few felt like they took forever and I ended up repeating steps unnecessarily.
