Am I correct in thinking that each of the new factions introduced by AOS has come with new models except Skaven Clan Pestilens? Why is this and are there plans to release new models for them at some point?

Probably not soon. Beastclaw Raiders, Flesh-Eater Courts and the Bonesplitters haven't gotten anything new either

Poor ignorant guardsmen, it be but one of many of the great miracles of the Emperor! The Emperor is magic, like Harry Potter, but more magic! A most real and true SPACE WIZARD! And for the last time... I'm not a space plumber.

Technically all of the Factions are 'new'. Are you just referring to those that have received battletomes?

AoS is transitioning over to the new style and it'll take awhile one book at a time. So far we have a few stop gaps currently.

Odds are we get a nurgle book soon, and eventually we'll see the restyling of the elves and death.

AoS has a very different design model to old WHFB in that new factions can constantly be added in and books do not have to by "cycled" because the warscrolls, faction rules and points live independently of each other.

The setting also allows much more freedom for new ideas and creativity. GW is a creative team at its core and they are obviously enjoying this new freedom (judging by how varied the designs have been for AoS).

I think the real question is if the new factions will bring forward any of the old models. Chaos Khorne and Tzeentch have done so, the Sylvaneth and Ironjawz have do so, but other new factions didn't bring forward old ranges - for example the Irondrakes seem like they would fit into the Kharadron Overlords but they are not present.

Does this mean the new "Dark Aelves" won't include any of he old range? What about the rumoured Clan Skyre? I don't think there is any definite answer but I do think those that are not brought forward won't get any new models (I don't think we'll see new "dispossessed" models now, for example), and at best might get a Battletome but I personally doubt that too.

As for the new armies getting updates. Who knows? But GW certainly aren't tied into periodically updating everything like they used to. They can just continue to expand ever outwards and release new things. Maybe we'll never see another Kharadron Overlord model, for example, or maybe they'll get another massive wave like the Stormcast have done (twice). GW can develop the game how they see best and that seems great to me.

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)
