I didn't find this in the forum yet, but how do they interact. Blessing of Tzeetch gives its bonus if a Blessing is "cast" on the unit, but Cursed Earth is technically cast on the Psyker.
So if I interpret this correctly, if I have a Tz DP cast Cursed Earth near Magnus, the DP would get +2 invul from CE & BoT, but Magnus would only get +1 from CE, since the blessing is not technically being cast on him.

Is that correct?

Cursed Earth targets the Psyker but gives all Daemons within 12 the +1.

Right, and Blessing of Tz is the command benefit for Tsons that says that if the unit has a blessing cast on it, than it gets +1.

So who is CE cast on? The psyker.
It affects all Daemons within 12", but it is technically cast on the Psyker.

So I believe in my earlier example, Magnus would still need to cast a blessing on himself (either Force or Siphon Magic) to get a cumulative +2. 1 for CE and 1 for BoT.
Basically I am saying that BoT only works if the Blessing specifically targets the unit, rather than just being within its aura.

Galef, double check but I think BoT is a hard cap of 3+ invul.

As I recall, the BoT doesn't say if it's cast on them, it says if they're affected by a blessing. In the case of Cursed Earth, the unit is affected by the blessing as long as they're within 12".

Mark of Tzeentch does, yes. But this discussion is about Blessing of Tzeentch and how it affect Daemons of Tzeentch within Cursed Earth range.

Doesnt Magnus have the Mark?

I don't have the book but have played against TS.
If the wording is "Effected by a bless" then there are 2 major draw backs to this:
1) Area Blessings will affect them (which is a nice if they are a daemon with the BoT)
2) The Cluxes assassin and sisters of silence is an even stronger counter to TS as he shuts off all effects in his 12" bubble.

If the wording is more "Has a blessing on them", then the blessing must be on the unit and not an area of effect spell.
This would mean that the unit will still be effected by BoT even if the effects of their blessing are shut off.

As I recall, it actually says if he is affected by a blessing then he gets the bonus till the controlling player's next psychic phase. That means losing the blessing doesn't hurt his invul. It's affected by and not the target of, so cursed earth affects him fine. He does not have the mark of Tzeentch either, but he is a daemon of tzeentch which gives the rerolls of 1.

Blessing of tzeentch only requires the unit to be affected by a blessing, which cursed earth is.
If Magnus is getting an improved save from cursed earth, he is clearly being affected by a blessing and so would trigger blessing of tzeetnch for a 2++.

I'm not entirely convinced that's what GW had in mind but RAW is pretty clear here.

Yeah I was able to check my book and it says "affected by"
Seems pretty cut-n-dry then

So Magnus can get a 2++ just be being in Cursed Earth range. Pretty sick

It is when you can pull that off. Sometimes it's easier said than done though. I've been seized on and had Magnus die turn 1.

Yeah, I won a tournament with my Ynnari because of that. I had nothing that could reliably take out Magnus once he got buffed and in the air, but I seized and dropped him turn 1.
By rights I should have lost as Magnus flew around removing units left and right, but for one lucky roll of a 6.
