Screeching Screamer of Tzeentch

Hey dakka! I got a set of pink horrors and enjoyed myself immensely putting them together but I ran into a problem. I swapped out the tzeentch symbol for a metal one of my own and now the model can't even stand up and a coin glued to the base wasn't enough. Do you guys have any tricks up your sleeve I should know about? Thanks in advance!

I have no clue how Dakka's moderation work. I expect it involves throwing a lot of d100 and looking at many random tables.

Base it bigger, or preposition the model back on the base so that the center of gravity is more inline with the center of the base.

Add a second coin to the base opposite of the weight that's causing the tipping.

A thick washer as apposed to coins, a bit more weight per washer and that you can change depending on the thickness of the washer.

If its a GW type base, I.e. hollow, it may be worth a look at a product model railway types use called something like 'liquid lead', basically fine lead shot, fill the base with it, drizzle some super glue over, let it cure then glue your coin back on, or a low profile metal disc. about the easiest way to get a decent amount of weight past a coin without starting to stack more coins.

Other way is a bit of clear plastic to make the base larger in the direction the model falls to add stability but in a way other models can be placed on top of

Rocks.

When doing your basing, find the biggest rocks that will fit on the base to help bring the center of gravity down a bit.

Lead fishing weights are a good alternative to coins/washers. Can be used to load one side of the base, as well as just adding weight.

You know all those 1P and 2P coins you have lying around that you can never find a use for? The ones that seem to breed and multiply in your wallet?
Well now you have a use for them It works for standard bearers too.

Get a bag of iron filings (cheap from Ebay) and use that instead of sand, mixed with white PVA glue as your basing material. You can also put a good blob of it under the base. This is especially useful with slotted bases where there isn't room to put washers or pennies under the base.

You should be able to hammer lead weights into disks with a hammer and a nice hard surface. just use your thinky brain when figuring out where to hammer. you are messing around with lead.
