So I'm thinking of this list for an upcoming tournament that is focused on the tactical objectives missions from book V:

Questoris Knights
Lord Scion - Acastus Knight Porphyrion - Helios defence missiles
Scion Martial - Cerastus Knight-Castigator
Scion Martial - Cerastus Knight-Atrapos
Scion Aspirant - Cerastus Knight-Acheron

Magos Prime - Augury Scanner - Melta gun - Power Axe - Melta Bombs
Tech-Priest Auxillia - Augury Scanner - Cortex Controller - Power Axe
4 x Servo-automata - 4 x Multi-melta

The idea is to castle up to survive first turn relying on interceptor to stay out of trouble, then use the 12" movement of the knights to capture and hold objectives.

Not a great deal to say on the knights, but don't you need a troop choice in the allies?

Apologies, forgot to mention I gave the Magos Macrotek so he can take the Enginseer's unit as a troop choice.

Ah that makes more sense, what exactly is the point in the cortex controller on the auxilia?

I also forgot to add I made him an Enginseer so it means repair roles on a 3+, which would be very useful for the Knights end of turn one if I go second. I will try and keep one Knight back in my deployment zone (probably the Porphyrion) and that should make him much more resilient. The Porphyrion will be a big chunk of my damage output as it has great range and will have line of sight to most things, so I'm keen on keeping it central to control the table as best I can.

Castigator is kinda junk. Way better served with a Warden. Aspirant Acheron? Preceptor or nothing on that one!

Your Helios is your only AA? I think either an Arbalester Styrix or Warden would be good - or grab that aforementioned Warden with an Icarus to bolster.

Not sure the allies are worth the hassle. They will get blown to bits fast and likely won't keep up with the Knights.

I went with Aspirant on the Acheron as it will auto hit with its flamer so I don't mind the loss of BS and I am really struggling at the 2k points limit to fit everything in, I end up with around 300 points after 4 knights so its a struggle to fit in another Knight. If I dropped the allies then I could buy better ranks but then I am really worried about first turn, last tournament I really struggled with first turn due to alpha strike, so I don't want that happening again.

With a bit of juggling I could swap the Castigator for any of the other knight types; I wanted something that was able to cope with a large unit like a massed bolter Marine blob on an objective?

Yea, it auto-hits, but Preceptor has other benefits that seem a natural fit and it doesn't impact your shield negatively.

Wouldn't take much juggling - a Warden is about the same price as a Castigator. Just would need points for an Icarus.

What have you run into with this alpha strike? Getting a lot of Shatter Mortars opposite your Knights? And the AdMech allies won't stop a severe alpha anyhow, so way better to go for max Knights, imo.

I went with:
Lord Scion - Lancer
Scion Martial - Porphyrion - Helios defence missiles
Scion Aspirant - Atrapos
Scion Aspirant - Paladin
Scion Aspirant - Paladin

I finished joint 9th out of ~51. I could have finished a bit higher as I should have won the second match up, the first match up did not suit my list due to mission type, I simply gave up too many VPs for each Knight killed so I would have struggled to win that one.

The Porphyrion was the Knight of the weekend for me, so much damage output and most people left it alone, so it was always the last Knight standing.

First match I faced a SM tank company, this was the hardest match up even though I took out nearly all of his tanks
Second match I faced Alpha Legion, wiped out all but a couple of terminators that had been using invisibility
Third match I faced a foot slogging 1k Sons, wiped them out turn 3
Forth match I faced custodies, he conceded my turn 3 as I'd crippled everything
Fifth match I faced an Ordinatus with cultists and spawn, he lost due to rubbish rolls

Great job! Knights aren't the most well-rounded army, so that is a solid performance!

Glad to hear the Acastus was an MVP, because I just ordered one!

I doubt it will disappoint, most people didn't even bother targeting it. I would like to see a different weapon load out on the same chassis, not sure what, but it would be a waste of a great chassis otherwise and a pair with complementary load outs would be very powerful on the table.

The Atrapos delivered the least, mostly because I was too cautious with it's D shooting attack. I did use it to good (and lucky) effect against a Custodies Shield Captain, rolling a 6 on the D table to stop that rerollable 3++. The games I played the Acheron would have been a better fit but if I'd faced more Spartan/Spartan Chassis then the Atrapos would have been better.
