With my IG going well, I'd also like to get into some Space Marines. Yea I know they got 8E coming up soon, but for now, I'd like to figure out what chapters I could get into, and more importantly, what models I can get for it? Really anything could help. Really like the Salamanders.

Not really sure what you're asking. Most Space Marine models are suitable for any Chapter.

If you're after Salamander-specific models, as far as I'm aware (outside of Forgeworld stuff) there's only Vulkan He'stan... if he's still available, as all of the 'Fine'cast stuff is slowly disappearing as stocks run out.

Yea, I was just confused with what there was, as I wasn't sure. So, what would be a good first box to buy?

If you don't mind doing DA, the DV set is probably the cheapest way to get TAC squads, bikes and terminators. Otherwise, buying the "Start Collecting" set from one of the discount stores is the next most cost effective way to go.

I got a local store that cant get em for me at about a dollar or two less, which is meaningless at times but nice. Thsnks. Could I paint them as Salamanders or other chapters?

I don't have any but it looks like they have raised Dark Angel chapter iconography on a shoulderpad and you'd need to shave it off on each and every one - can someone who has these guys confirm?

Yeah the DV set is no good for Salamanders, they are all decked out in full-fledged DA regalia. The Start Collecting set would work for any chapter, though.

Yea, I want something where I could choose a bit more what chapter.

Then I would definitely go with the start collecting set, it's the best deal.

Don't understand OP, but Carcharodons (space sharks) rock.
