So, I figured I'd share this here, as I almost missed it.

Dark Sword Miniatures has been a company I've really loved over the last several years, they've continually made some of the most impressive pewter 28mm I've had the pleasure of painting.

Today they are going to launch a Kickstarter to expand the line that is based on the fantasy artwork of Stephanie Law. This time around they are modeling traditional RPG Classes (each class will come with both a male and female version of the model).

If you guys have interest, be sure to check it out later today once they launch it. Initially it looks like they will have 12 models included in the "core set", but usually tack on additional models if there is enough interest. They've also been pretty rapid on their fulfillment times, typically within 2 months of funding since they are a smaller specialty operation located in the Twin Cities, MN area.

They had initially tried to launch the campaign at the end of march, but the organizer pulled the plug as they had botched the timing on it and decided to table it until today. The original campaign is here https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/823962857/dark-sword-miniatures-stephanie-law-masterworks-rp?ref=profile_created you can see some of the models they have planned.

I have some examples of their models I painted in my galleries. They're great for most roleplaying games or just as a chance to do a high quality paint job or practice.

Once they go live, I'll post the updated link.

Own a few of their miniatures and can attest that they are really good sculpts.

Look forward to seeing what comes out of this KS,

This is a great idea, especially for people looking to fill out their DnD mini's. Btw, funded over $24k, so all of the listed stretch goals are unlocked.

Unfortunately, I think I will personally pass. Patrick Keith is not my favorite sculptor. If they had gotten Jeff Grace or Tom Meier to sculpt for this, I definately would have thrown my wallet at it. It's still good to see that Darksword appears to be developing its new talent though.

I agree about Patrick Keith. He's a very good sculptor, just not my style. I have his first KS miniatures and haven't painted any of them. They just don't fit what I look for in my miniatures. I'm a huge fan of Tom Meier and Jeff Grace. I'm looking forward to the Game of Thrones game that Darksword is involved in. It would be fantastic if Tom Meier was involved in the miniatures.
