Looking at starting a Tau Team and I don't see the cost of the the Pulse Rifle anywhere, only the carbine. Am I missing something?

Only the Fireblade special operative uses the rifle.

It's the "basic weapon" of the Fireblade, so not that strange.

I get it, it's just a bit confusing when you look at the list of weapons the Shas'ui can take and then find out you don't have a cost listed for it.

"basic weapon" is a category that has consequences in the rules (i.e. if you have one, you don't get the bonus attack for having two melee/pistol weapons). It has nothing to do with it being the "standard option" for a Kill Team.

I'm not sure what you mean, though; a Pulse Rifle is not in the "list of weapons the Shas'ui can take". The Tau Pathfinder Basic Weapons List has only one entry - Pulse Carbine.

Don't confuse the Weapon and Equipment Lists (i.e. what gear you can spend points on) with the Weapons and Equipment rules section (which gives the stats for every bit of equipment not in the main rulebook that any member of your Kill Team and/or Special Operatives may use)

I guess that was my initial confusion. The list with point costs is what determines what a model can take, not the weapons profile section.
