Note sure if this goes here, but *shrugs* So, in my DA codex it says I can take a special OR heavy weapon with a 5 man squad, or one of each in a ten man. However, it doesn't list any points costs for these special weapons, so do I get them for free because dark angels bs, or is it just because those costs are in the two weapons type's lists?
Granted in a few months this wont be relevant, but still

Did you not look at the weapons list in your codex? Its in front of all the unit entries

What they said. If you note, the Special Weapon and Heavy Weapon are in bold or state, "from the Special Weapon List"/"from the Heavy Weapon list". When we look at the Dark Angel Wargear List page:
These lists detail the points values of various items of wargear available to units in your army. Many unit entries in the datasheets that follow may include wargear options from one or more of these lists – in each instance, the datasheet will tell you (in bold text) exactly which of these lists you may use. Rules for these items can be found in the Appendix.
