I have posted a bit on here and shown some of my painted models, I have never actually played Warhammer/40K though. I only wanted to paint up the models before and didn't think I would want to play it, but i've been reading a bit and am starting to get an itch to play some games.

Not sure if many people around my area play though, if you do and would like to help me along a bit it would be appreciated.

Hey Steve, how do you feel about travelling to Nottingham? Not only are there loads of 40k players who are happy to help you out (myself among them ) but because we have Warhammer World we have free to use tables with brilliant scenery on them to play on

You look to be in the middle of nowhere, games-wise.
If you can get to Nottingham, you Warhammer World to use, there are threads up about regular games and gamers there.

Theres a few gaming groups around the South Lincolnshire area, all seem to be about 45-55 mins away from Grantham but similar distance to Nottingham.
One near Peterborough, they play mainly 30k, but I think they also do 40k. Meet on a Friday night in Orton (Southgate?) They have a youtube channel search the 30kChannel
One in Holbeach, meet on a Monday nights at the Reading Rooms from 6-10
The club I most regularly attend is one in Spalding which meet at the social club on Saturdays from 10-1. However be advised it is a youth games club and so its mostly secondary school age kids

Thanks for the reply's guy's, it does seem that Grantham is a void when it comes to Warhammer gaming. There looks to be plenty happening 25 plus miles away but nothing closer.

JamesWright83, I've been over to Warhammer World and was blown away with the scale of the gaming area. I would love to arrange to meet up sometime and have a game. I just need to finish painting up my army.
