So I may be facing my gf's Empire squadron fairly soon. Seeing as I'm still starting this game, I've cobbled together a squadron based on what I have, and what cards and builds various online sources have been touting. (This is a friendly game, so most cards will be proxied).

The Rebel Scum:

B-Wing- Nera Dantels- Deadeye, Proton Torpedoes, Extra Munitions, Fire Control System, Guidance Chips- 35
X-Wing- Biggs Darklighter- R2-D2, Integrated Astromech- 29
X-Wing- Wedge Antilles- Predator, R7-T1, Integrated Astromech- 35

Total: 99

The general plan is for Nera to blow stuff up with missiles, for Biggs to take shots for her, and for Wedge to do what Wedge does best and murders stuff. That's it.

Any thoughts? In particular, any alternatives for any of the pilots/ships I'm using? I also have an A-Wing, and so can field someone like Tycho or Arvel.

Obviously, btw, I have no idea what my gf will be bringing, but I know that she owns a regular TIE, an Advance, and an Interceptor, so I'm anticipating having to deal with Darth Vader and Soontir Fel.

If you are facing ships with shields I'd be tempted to switch to Plasma Torps, its pretty much the same damage but a point cheaper, if its unshielded crit chasing with the Protons is fine

Again R2 on Biggs is okay vs 2 dice Ties, anything heavier you might want to consider R4-D6

Predator and R7 on Wedge seems a bit redundant for re-rolls, PTL and R7 seems more flexible (or VI to out PS Fel and Vader, you could even ditch the IA for Vector Thrusters, although if you go arc dodger switch out R7)

For the A-Wing proxy up Jake, he is likely the best A-Wing (A-Wing Test Pilot,Proton Rockets,Veteran Instincts ,Autothrusters Push the Limit)

Outflanking

I'd make a couple cuts. I'd run Wedge like so:

Wedge-36
-Targeting Astromech
-Stay on Target
-Plasma Torpedoes

This guy, combined with Nera, gives you a pretty hard alpha-strike punch. Stay on Target/Targeting Astromech helps Wedge stay in the fight, and hits pretty hard against anyone with Agility 1 or more. Drop R2-D2 from Biggs (He won't live long enough). Replace with R2-D6 and Crack shot, to give you a finishing punch for your alpha strike.

I took Crazy_Carnifex's suggestions, but with points left over, I also went for Vectored Thrusters on Wedge. That way, he can at least pull off some extra maneuverability tricks if need be.
