Please excuse if this has been asked/answered elsewhere

Inorder to use a Baneblade with a marine force do I need the superheavy to come with an Imperial Guard CAD or can it come with an Imperial Guard Allied Detachment.

Secondly, does a 10 troop force with medic, bearer and commissar count as a troop selection.

I don't want to have to buy a codex just for that info.

Thank you.

Does the Allied Detachment have a Lord of War slot available?

Dakka is not a replacement for owning rules, I'm afraid. I'm sure you could find the info elsewhere though. 1d4chan should have a breakdown of slot info. I think a commissar alone is an HQ, but don't know the rest.

While this forums aren't an alternative way to get rules i suggest you check the Codex either with a friend or at some FLGS or GW shop available.

I can tell you anyway Allied Detachments do not have a Lord of War slot.

Another option if you aren't faced with other restrictions:

Just go unbound. Then you can take the baneblade by itself. Note: If you're then using a CAD/AD/NSF or similar "Force org" rather than formations, you will lose command benefits (like Objective Secured)

Look up/buy the Caida Supplement. It should be dirt cheap now since its about to become moot in a month. Hell GW might even give you a voucher for it if you buy it now.

The Cadian detachment has 1 requirement a single CCS and then you can take 1-1000 baneblades if you so desire, following its rules.

Wrooooong

You need minimum 5 leman russes before you can take an individual superheavy as they're 'auxilliary' choices which need a core choice ( the 5 russ, or 150~ guardsmen) to unlock.

Some people find the idea that other people can be happy offensive, and will prefer causing harm to self improvement.

I'm looking at the book right now. Only requirement 1 CCS, the second page has a list of all the other choices you can take, all the Baneblades variants are there. 1HQ required and whatever else you please at any volume (not literally anything but the page covers most things).

But its meaningless anyways as it's going to be null and void in a month.

Double check the minimal requirements, you'll be happy to see its literally 1CCS and whatever else you please*.

I'll be damned, Malamis is right, it says it in the restrictions. You need to have a core before you can take an Auxillary, despite the giant bold flow chart saying otherwise.

I recant.
