Hi, sorry just cant find the rule and dont fully know how to word it in my formation.

If i wanted to bring a full tau army and a vindicare assasin.

is that legal and if so, what is it called?

Combined arms?

You can make a legal army with tau and a vindicare assassin. The vindicare assassin would be its own detachment - see the rules in Imperial Agents for the detachment that lets you do that.

The Vindicare would not be in the same detachment as the Tau army.
