Hi guys! I'm playing against my friend who play daemons. I'm expecting him to field his screamer star and lord of change with the silly invuln.

This is the list I've come up with so far.

It's a death guard warband with two lords of war. So you know, mark of nurgle on everything, re-rolling ones on fnp, votlw all that jazz.

How do you think this list will do?

Lord - Bike, power fist, lightning claw, sigil, blight grenades.

Daemon Prince - Wings, armour, The black mace, ML 1.

Sorcerer - Bike, ML 3, force axe, familiar.

Chaos space marines x5 - rhino, plasma.

Chaos space marines x5 - rhino, plasma.

Bikers x5 - Power axe, melta x2.

Bikers x5 - Power axe, melta x2.

Havocs x5 - Autocannon x4.

Terminators x3 - combi melta x3, power axe x3.

Heldrake x2 - Bale flamer x2.

Seems solid, maybe consider reducing biker teams to units of 3 with melta gun and use the spare points to make a third unit.

then you keep the lord and sorcerer in one unit and have a bit more versatility and anti armor.

not necessarily needed but its an idea

although against deamons you might just want plasma guns instead

You need to find a way to get rid of that invul save for starters. I am not sure if you can take Null Zone as a psykic power with his army however.

One has to wonder. Do the Tyranids consider drop-assault troops... fast food?

The screamerstar is fantastic at board control - it can turbo boost camper units right of the board, can summon and is nearly indestructible - however it was very low strength output.
Your T6 bikers can probably chaff the star quite easily.
If they have a full unit of 9 Screamers and the all use lampreys bite it's unlikely it'll wipe the squad.
The heralds are even weaker again and will nearly always be wounding your bikers on a 6!

If he is smart he won't let you catch him - however if you can be smarter and bait him out correctly then you'll smash him.

If built really well the star is easily the bulk of the daemons army, 225 for Screamers and 400-500+ for heralds, with another 300 for fateweaver or a LOC. It leaves very little room for much else.

If he doesn't bring fateweaver try to ignore the star until he eventually fails the book (which he will) - when that does happen make sure you pounce on the opportunity.

I play both deathguard and screamerstar so curious to hear who wins.

Praise be to Papa Nurgle

Turned out he played khorne instead. It was a formation from Curse of the wolfen. Butcher horde I think it was called. They all got an extra attack for being 7" from a unit from the same formation. He also had karanak and a crown on his bloodthirster that gave one more attack, so they all got a ton of attacks. I lost. I feel my DG is pretty weak. I might be playing badly.
