Say Recruit1 and Recruit2 charge a Trooper. The player decides to start with Recruit1 and it goes horribly wrong and Recruit1 is put Out of Action. On resolving the remaining combat between Recruit2 and the Trooper does Recruit2 still get the +1 he was expecting for Recruit1 having been in the combat or is it now no longer considered a multiple combat as he's out of action?
If he no longer qualifies for the ganging up bonus what about if Recruit1 has gone down rather than been put out of action?

If you're in multiple combat, I would say the second model attacking still gets the +1 combat modifier regardless of the first combat's outcome.

Recruit 2 still gains the modifier.

The combat is fought simultaneously (despite being rolled separately). Meaning the Space Marine is fighting two Chaos. The 2nd Chaos gains an advantage while the Space Marine is 'dealing' with the other Chaos Marine.
