Hi! That is Anastasia from Tiny Furniture store.

Just want to tell you that we have launched our first fundraising IndieGoGo campaign!
We are expanding into new genres and want to create a line of accessories for 28mm tabletop games in a post-apocalyptic and retro-futuristic style called “Barren Lands”.

3D models of miniatures have already been developed: computer panels, fridge, desktop computers, bed, garbage can and others. All these models will be printed on a high-quality industrial printer, and then cast in resin.

You can use these furnishings and accessories in all post-apocalyptic board games with 28mm miniature. It will be a great additional to the future Fallout Wasteland Warfare game.

Check all the cool perks here https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/barren-lands-a-post-nuclear-tiny-furniture#

FUNDED!

Cheers!
Anastasia.

You can see the Grocery stand with a 28mm figure at the end of IGG video. Screenshot added.

Thanks Too bad, that the Kickstarter works only in 21 countries (and not in Russia) :(((
So what's the problem with IGG from your point of view?

IGG has a reputation for scams, although it's not like KS doesn't have its share of projects that don't deliver. You could mention in your campaign and posts that KS does not allow projects from Russia.

Myself, if I'm familiar with the creator, I don't have any problem if they use IGG. RAFM miniature's first crowdfunding project was on IGG and their IGG project fulfilled better than their KS ones.

Some seller comments about IGG vs. KS:
http://discuss.tindie.com/t/why-do-you-use-kickstarter-ks-vs-igg/2178/32
http://www.jamesmathe.com/indie-no-go/

That being said, with a low fixed goal, IGG should be fine. Since this is your first crowdfunded project, the experience you gain now from a small project will be important when you fund larger ones.

Not sure how much weight that'll carry, but, as someone who designed those models I can vote for Anastasia and Tiny Furniture. They are the oldest and biggest supplier for gaming terrain bits and pieces in Russia. I've worked for them before and it was an enjoyable experience, otherwise I would never commit to an extencive collaboration like this project.

"No pain - no gain!"

That is too bad.

I haven't used IGG in a couple years. It does look like they changed no longer doing Paypal (as a quick read) which is fine.

The issue with IGG is usually how they do a campaign. Typically when you pledge for Kickstarter, you aren't charged until the project closes. This lets you change, cancel or add to your pledge during the campaign. With IGG you can't ask a question unless you are a backer, but usually when you pledge, you are charged immediately. If you change a pledge or cancel, there is a chargeback and then recharge. Since you can't ask questions without backing, you are charged at the time.

Maybe that has changed but I'm not finding any information on that. I normally back multiple campaigns. I don't have unlimited funds, but I do move around depending how a campaign is done. I can't afford to have to wait for processing when I change a pledge. You should only be charged at the end of the campaign and if the campaign is successful.

Yes, that is a real problem :( Backers can not add multiple perks at one time, they can not change pledges, no combine shipping option, charging money immediately after making a pledge. That is what blows my mind too as a campaign founder now.

But I have found a "cheat" If you need special sets of items feel or if you want to back multiple perks free to message me and I will create "secret perk" individually for you (with combined shipping discounts of course).

I am really glad you guys are here talking about the campaign. The feedback in this thread has convinced me to back it, but I have to wait till payday.

This is a great project and especially given the announcement that Modephius will only be making paper terrain it sounds like you guys have a niche market about to come into its prime.

That said... I'm not against backing, it is just that it makes it inconvenient. I am always supportive of small companies, groups and individuals doing projects like this. It is one of the reasons why I like crowdfunding, not to mention using it for my own means as well.

I would like to see pictures of the terrain next to other gaming miniatures like Infinity, WH40K and something in the 35mm range like Wild West Exodus or Batman Miniatures. Mainly so it gives a good visual between 28mm-35mm as well as Heroic. If you don't have any of those miniatures, then others would be fine but those are more easily recognizable in terms of scale.

I'd also like to see better images of what is in the pledge levels, for example Police, Lab, etc. I can go through the various images, try to get a better visual but there are a couple inconsistencies so visual's make it better. For example Police says it comes with Mattress (2) but there is no example of what the Matress is or how it looks unless it means Swell Bed (which I don't think it does).

I would add this to the Overview. Not sure how I'd phrase it, but I'd mention that KS does not allow projects from Russia, yet.

Also, you can edit your threads, so, if a graphic's information has changed (eg. pic of funding totals), you can always remove it and add an updated picture in another post. You can also use the Spoiler tag to hide large pictures.

Good luck!

Barren Lands News here!
We have raised 80% of funds

And the first stretch goal (for $3000) was added:
"Sector crates"
You can use these crates as corner shelves, as a round table, as columns, as barricades or as a nightstand maybe. Also it looks like a big robot vacuum cleaner

How will you be handling new stretch goals that get unlocked? How does someone who has already backed, add them to their pledge?

Indiegogo means Indie No- No...

Nice idea, but use another platform.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.
