This is my first SWA campaign. These battle reports will follow the adventures of a small band of Kasrkin and Cadian veterans called the Dead Men.
Spoiler:

CAMPAIGN HOUSE RULES: No "Hunt in the Promethium Sprawl" table. Max two fights per week. Cannot fight the same opponent twice in the same week. If you capture a fighter, you immediately give them back to the owner and receive 100 points to recruit/rearm, or else you execute the fighter and the owner receives 100 points. If one player or an odd number of players are eligible for total victory they must defeat a mystery house army who will spend three promethium caches on the battle. If even numbers of players are eligible for total victory they face off tournament style.

GAME 1: SCAVENGERS – GUARD vs. HARLEQUINS, 1000 points

FORCES: SKWAAAARK’s Dead Men are led by Kasrkin Sgt. Stabbity (carapace, camo).
Spoiler:

He will be directing three Kasrkin plasmagunners named Rockso, Sheldon, and Skinner (carapace, camo, plasma, red-dot).
Spoiler:

Three troopers named Spector, Ducky, and Notch (camo, lasgun) will run interference for the weapons team.
Spoiler:

The Harlequin team consists of a Troupe Master, two Virtuosos, and a Mime. All have pistols, one has a Harlequin’s Kiss, and one has a sword of some kind.

PRE-BATTLE: The mission is Scavengers with two supply drops – one in the open and one in a destroyed building.
Spoiler:

The Sergeant and his plasma team deploy in a ruined tower, while the troopers position themselves out of sight near the building containing the supply drop.
Spoiler:

The Harlequins deploy out of line of sight behind some ruined buildings.

BATTLE: The Harlequins rush out towards the Guard lines, careful to stay behind buildings. Only the plasmagunner on the top floor of the ruin (Skinner) has any hope of drawing a bead on them, but he is repeatedly savaged by a hitherto unseen monster and left completely unable to respond to the advancing xenos threat.

The troopers capture the nearest supply drop and rush back towards the safety of the plasmagunner’s ruin. Trooper Notch bravely runs off alone eastwards in hopes of drawing away the monster and perhaps some of the rapidly approaching Harlequins.

With the Harlequins having nearly reached the guardsmen, plasmagunner Sheldon sprays and prays at a heavily concealed Virtuoso and manages to injure the foul xeno. The Harlequin’s high rolling turns against them when their bottle test comes up boxcars. The Harlequins flit back into the shadows, and the Dead Men return home with their supplies.

AFTERMATH: The wounded Virtuoso fully recovers.

The Dead Men earn two promethium caches. Sergeant Stabbity works on his stabbing skills and doubles his attacks. The team recruits a new member.
Spoiler:

GAME 2: KILLTEAM FIGHT – GUARD vs. ORKS

FORCES: The Dead Men would be facing off against a band of orks led by a brute with a power klaw and kombi-shoota. Second in command was a spanna boy armed with a terrifying big shoota. The rest of the force was a mix of shoota boyz and yoofs with sluggas and choppas. One of their number was left behind due to an injury sustained in a previous battle.
Spoiler:

PRE-BATTLE: The mission is a straight-up Kill Team Fight played on the same battlefield as the previous game.

The orks take the Guard’s previous DZ. The Warboss sets up with a small group on the western side of the DZ, while the spanna boy and the rest are scattered across the eastern half.
Spoiler:

The Dead Men send plasmagunners Rockso and Skinner to the roof of a low building on the eastern end of their DZ. The Sergeant is out of sight on the ground nearby with two troopers. Plasmagunner Sheldon and two other troopers set up in a ruin on the western side of the DZ.
Spoiler:

BATTLE: The Boss advances up the western edge of the city, keeping his group close together and out of sight. The rest of the greenskins stay spread out as they advance to the east.

The Dead Men spread out their troopers westward, hoping to get a shot at the enemy leader’s group, but their shots are ineffective. Plasmagunner Sheldon, believing that this may be his last chance to disrupt the enemy leader’s advance, moves out of cover towards the center of the board and unloads on the boss’s group. He strikes a sluggaboy, putting him down and sending a shootaboy running in fear.
Spoiler:

Sheldon’s triumph is short-lived, for the fearsome spanna boy emerges on the roof of a nearby building and rains deadly fire down upon him. At the sight of Sheldon’s crumpled, bullet-ridden body, his fellow plasmagunners emerge on the east with a furious warcry and a wild hail of overcharged weapons fire. The spanna boy is only knocked off his feet, but one other boy on the eastern side goes down. The orks fail their bottle test and flee the field.

AFTERMATH: Sheldon barely survived. One of the fallen orks was captured, but instead of executing him, the Dead Men interrogated him to learn the name of the ork who wounded Sheldon – Humiekilla. The ork was sent back with a warning for Humiekilla, and Sheldon received the rule 'Hatred(Humiekilla).' Sergeant Stabbity hit the gym and beefed up just in case anyone ever tried to stab him back. The Dead Men earned three promethium caches and recruited two new troopers.
