Does anybody have photos from when they were younger and doing hobby related things? I'd love to laugh at the hair cuts and general shinaigangs.

I think I can only remember one photo of me with curtains and painting up a Falcon! Ah the good old days, I enjoyed seeing the red paint brushes as well.

Having got a recent delivery of all 2nd/4th stuff it reminded me of the good old days.

There are no childhood photos of me gaming.
I didn't start to do it until I was already 18 and GW didn't have ANY stores here yet until the next decade.

That said, there aren't many photos of me gaming until a couple of years ago. A local WHFB tourney made the local TV news (filler) and I was in the background for (my hair gives me away).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Didn't have phone cameras back then. Back in my day, we had to use film that was expensive. So it was either buy film or buy models...

Yeah same. A mate did video of a game of 40k as a yr 12 comms project, but that was back in the days of VHS, so I doubt even if he still had it that I could get any decent pictures of it.

Yup. Kids these days with their fancy “digital" cameras. I will say I enjoy being able to snap pictures without thinking about it. If there are any pictures of me, they are in a dusty box somewhere, probably the Warehouse 23-esque maze that is my parents’ basement. And as I generally detest having my picture taken, they can stay there.

But only mildly tangental to the topic, here is a pic taken with a very early generation digital camera, circa 2000. Early 3rd edition Space Marines.

With some of the others, my childhood was in the 35mm film era. So there isn't a whole of pictures of me back then period.

Additionally, while I played D&D growing up, it was in semi-secret as I lived in a very religious part of the United States when a lot more people believed Chick Tracts to be true.

Ha, I think all the photos from 2nd/4th would be film cameras

I was at this event, around 2007~ I was 15 or 16

The old ork Codex with 4+ Choppas on the boyz, Nidzilla, Eldar ran three Falcons with Harlies, Chaos Space Marines had the Iron Warriors lists. Cities of Death Plastic Buildings were out only a few months, Necrons with 20 Destroyers was a list, and a very fun Tau Devishfish wall

This was taken with a fairly expensive camera back then - it used a small SD card and had a mini 2" screen to see the photos you took on it.

I can't remember that specific day but by the looks of things we were playing necromunda. It must have been around the time of the release as we only played for a couple of years around then.

I actually stumbled upon some fuzzy, out-of-focus 35mm shots of my old Eldar minis. I'll see if I can find it and scan it in. Circa, 1998.
