I want to share a miniature game that I have been writing. It’s sci-fi skirmish inspired by Infinity, Song of Blades and Heroes and Necromunda. It has got a cool activation & reaction mechanic and tactical gameplay. The core rules are short and elegant but there is also a large selection of weapons & special rules to choose from. You can use any miniature and the rules include a point based character builder.

I have playtested and tweaked it by myself for some time but now I want to share it to other gamers. Please let me know what you think. Feedback is much appreciated.

To play you’ll need:
3-15 miniatures per player
3 ten sided dice per player
A tape measure
Miniature terrain (books and shapes cut from paper can be used as quick terrain)

Looks good! Did you used to play Vor a while back?

Not sure about the damage model being a straight up odd or even, but it's probably faster and has less bookkeeping.

Interesting rules. Very well done in the layout.

I loved infinity until it got very complex. Sure, you could play without a lot of the stuff but the game went toooo deep ruleswise. So my models have been collecting dust for a long time now.

Rogue stars failed me as seeming like a lite infinity. So this looks promising.

One thing I didn't like was the mass reactions. I think your game needs a clarified reaction sequence or examples.

Lets say im fully out of LOS of a enemy. I spent a point and move to where im at the corner of terrain, now visable to 3 enemy units. Can they then react to me becoming visible at the end of my first action? So they can pump 3 shots into me and I can only hope to live? OR since I started out of LOS, they cant react?

Lets say I go to shoot a enemy, and I have 3d10 attacks. My opponent has 2 other guys that can react aside the one that I declares shooting at. Do I declare targets before or after my opponent declares reactions.

Lets also say that 3 enemes can see me, but I need to move. they get to react and shoot me 3 times then I spent another point to shoot them, then they can react again?

the one thing that was nice for infinity is you declared your two actions, THEN they reacted. So you could move and shoot, then they can shoot at same time.

Thanks for the feedback! I updated the website today and the rules are completely online now. You can read them on your phone easily. I'm planning on adding an interactive warband builder system to the site in the future as I balance the points costs.

@Vertrucio I have heard of Vor but never played it. It seemed to have a lot of good ideas.

@str00dles1 I felt the same way about Infinity and Rogue Stars. Good point about the examples too, I should add some more example pictures. Now that the rules are online I could add video examples too.

Regarding your questions:
- You can use the Dash action to move into enemy LOS without reactions. It's a once per activation move that allows a miniature to move without reactions.
- If you use the normal move the enemies can react as soon as they have LOS to your model. It is intentional that you usually do not want to move into this kind of situation. Even if you move into LOS with Dash the enemy can force you to activate the model when they have the initiative (under "INITIATIVE AND ACTIVATING MODELS" in the rules).
- Good observation about declaring targets! That needs to be specified. The active model should declare targets first.
- You almost always Dash into enemy LOS, but when you attempt a ranged attack they can shoot back. Try positioning your model so that only one of the three enemies have LOS to it. Then you have the advantage as reactive shooting is resolved with only one d10 regardless of how much firepower the model has when active.

I updated Xenotactics based on awesome feedback.
http://xenotactics.com/

The major additions are:
- Campaign system
- Unit cost calculator
- Precalculated profiles

There have also been lots of minor changes to actions, weapons and special rules.
Shoot a mail to hello@xenotactics.com if you’d like to subscribe to patch notes.

I'd read it, but your layout is absolutely atrocious. I really think publishing a game in the format of a credit card receipt is holding you back. Go for normal pages, really.
