Obviously, very very very little is known about the Emperor before or during the Unification Wars. This is more "I think he would have been called X because Y."

So, The Emperor. Big E, Emps, Da Emprah, Corpse-God. Empy.

To be an Emperor, you need an Empire (Imperium) to rule. That only came when he conquered the galaxy, or maybe just when he had conquered Earth. But until that point, when he had no empire to be Emperor of...

What would his title have been?

He had many names and many roles; Saint, Doctor, General (Captain, Brigadier, etc), Professor, Chief Technical Officer, Lead Design Engineer, ...

Preumably he took on the title Emperor, and discarded whatever he considered his "real" name to be, when he took open power during the Age of Strife. Calling himself Emperor was a statement of his intent.

Taking into consideration that he's pretty old from the age of shamanism, i'd assume his name could be Gzoo or something like that.

If you go back through the fluff far enough, he was Jesus, Ghandi, Einstein, and lots of others.

To clarify, I am aware the roles he took up during his times. I'm more looking for what title he took prior to being the Emperor, as you can't be an Emperor without an Empire.

Was he, "The King," "The Warlord," or something more exotic, for example, the "Thunderbolt" (his personal symbol before the Aquila). This is a what do you think thread, rather than what we know.

He was "The Dude".

Its implied that he took the guise of numerous historical figures, guiding humanity throughout the ages before actually revealing himself. His true name will likely never be revealed but he hails from a region in Ancient Turkey for what its worth. Will have to look up some common names in local dialects I supppse

Before he was Emperor he was Dave. Dave was a cool guy. Someone you could have a laugh and a pint with, y'know? That whole "taking over the entire galaxy" thing really made him more serious. He wasn't as fun anymore...

I suspect when he first revealed himself he called himself "the emperor" it was as much a statement of intent as anything
