Hey everyone, I have an odd question -

Out off all the named super behemoths that the factions have (Allarielle, Archaon, Nagash, Gordrakk) which is the best? I very rarely see any on the table, but Allarielle seems to be the most common.

It's just a curiosity question really

Opinions, thoughts, advice?

Archaeon.

Alarielle just shows up a lot because its easy to make a tournament quality list by taking her and spamming kurnoths.

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

Nagash can be a real beast too, and coupled with Neferata, he can ignore enemy rending (plus having a rerollable 2+, and 4+ vs Mortal Wounds I think?). To make one you should go old school get the old fugly model, and use all old metal ghosts and spines to make 5 pounds of DEATH!

But me, I'm a Chaos guy, so Archaon all the way. He can be used in a variety of armies, letting other generals buff their own dudes, or using them to buff himself, attack twice, etc. In a Disciples of Tzeentch army he can be soul-bound to a unit of those little burnlings (the tiniest Horrors) and not even have to take wounds til they're dead! Nigh unkillable, and he does a crapload of damage.

The big Orruk guy can crump just about anyone too but lacks decent synergies or saves to buff himself like the others.

Alarielle is pretty good I think, her beetle is pretty crushy, she can heal herself and do good damage...aside from her other tree people stuff (of which I know little, but suspect there is much).

The Lord Celestant on Stardrake is pretty good too, especially if you have other Stormcast dragon dudes in your army.

All the super heavies have their posotives but for me since I'm a chaos player my favorite is Archaon. He has always to me been the best Warlord model.

I think the most important thing about the large centerpiece is the models around it. It adds more to the grand scale of things. Like Archeron or nagash surrouned by their minions as they march endlessly towards the enemy speaks volumes than just the model by itself.

Archaon is okay in a vacuum, but gets much better as get gets more friends. As games get bigger, he becomes more and more potent. He just requires a lot of support to get the best out of him.
