Does anyone else plan to use the new 40K Poxwalkers as Nurgle marauders? I am curious to see what how customizable they are, but I am very excited to see what possible options there are. I have been planning to use VC zombies as my marauders but if now with the Poxwalkers as an option they look very Nurgly

Probably they will have a Plastic Multipart kit after the Start Collecting release, so that will be more easy to "fantasizie"

There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

I'm still expecting a Nurgle release for AoS shortly after the DG release. Probably around July (7th month) or August.

This would be very nice as I feel Khorne and Tzeentch seem to get all the love from GW.

Silver Tower had the first Tzaangor models, the box for Tzaangors in 40k and AoS is different because of one sprue that gives them pistols and chainswords.
I'm not sure about the Poxwalkers being a cross-game thing. Some of the stuff on them just isn't cross compatible I think.

Well, it was pretty much all Khorne and Nurgle until the beginning of 2017. Poor Slaanesh.

I'm not sure about pox walker comparability cross-setting. For starters there are a lot of overtly sci-fi features on the models we've seen. But also, plague zombies of Nurgle have always been a 40k thing but not a fantasy one.

I know that plague zombies have always been a 40K thing. I always felt that fluff wise, why couldn't marauders be blessed with contagians and pestilence of Nurgle. Why couldn't you have marauders who have given completely over to Nurgle. As for some of the models being to Sci-Fi for AoS you can always kit bash them I would think.

Sorry typo, it should have said "compatibility" I was evaluating the potential of an AoS pox walker kit. But yes, I think Nurgle should have a bloodreaver/acolyte equivalent. Pestigors would be nice too, though that gets into the issue that beastmen should be mark-able, since they obviously are in the fluff.

I agree that the Poxwalkers would look out of place in Age of Sigmar, especially the one in the white lab coat who looks a bit like a certain Spider-man villain...

You don't have to paint it white. You can paint it black or dingy brown or even khaki if you want. They all have Nurgling heads so they will look like cross between mortals and Nurglings. Most have clubs of some sort and the guns the others have can be called clubs or maces. I have not seen how they will be coming but if they are like most GW plastics you can definitly bit crash them. Mold Plague bearer bits or Marauder bits to them.

SOME of the pox walkers would work. I believe there are like 7 or 8 that dont have any guns, holsters or really anything sci-fi. So sure you could make pox walkers work, but it would take considerable effort. And probably not worth it when you consider it is HIGHLY likely GW releases some sort of Blood reaver/acolyte equivalent for nurgle.

Speaking as someone that started converting them last week.....
You;ll have about a 50/50 retaio of suitable and non suitable sculpts.
The poxwalkers from the started box are all monopose, no customisation.Having said that they can take weapon swaps/head swaps as easily as any other mini.
They have enough character that you can reduce them right down to their unarmed basic sculpt and they will look great.
If you have anything major in mind I'd maybe wait for the multi part box that's coming later in the year.

I would not be surprised if AoS gets something like poxwalkers (not that what I think would be a good idea is any indication of what GW will do). The sorcerer also looks like it can work with AoS,
If we get a Nurgle release a new GUO (seems likely) and rumoured multi-leg beast things would probably work in AoS.

I'm not a fan of the new pox walkers to be honest. I'd have preferred a more living-dead model.
