I'm hoping in the near future to flesh out my Vampire Counts army with some Blood Knight miniatures. However, the current metal miniatures are a bit out of my price range, and I was wondering if folks could suggest some alternative figures I could use for them - would prefer plastic over resin, resin over metal.

Thanks!

There's a pretty good miniature resource page on the 9th Age website, worth checking out (look under 'Vampire Knights' for Blood knights I think)

Personally like the Gamezone ones, which are beautiful, although Mantic do some which are much cheaper.

Surprisingly, I've found high elf dragon princes to be pretty good conversions. They have the whole dragon theme going for them.

I've also seen people use chaos knights

Kill Primaris, Kill the Primarchs. They don't belong in 40K

By the time you have bought a box of dragon princes and a box of blac knights to base them on, you might as well buy Blood Knights.

Second Gamezone not-Blood Knights, Not too sure on those Mantic models, Mantic sculpt quality is hit or miss, and I think those are a miss, but YMMV and they have price on their side.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

Have you seen them Orlanth? Think the Undead range are some of the best that Mantic have ever made, and these guys look pretty good.
£18 for the box as well which I take it is probably a fair bit cheaper than the GW equivalents.

Thanks all, very helpful.

I'd love the gamezone ones, but personally, but I might be stuck with the mantic ones (the rest of my core army is mantic anyway).

Pacific, I don't like them, the horses are good but generic and need converting to be used as undead. Not too sure about the riders also, especially the heads.

Saying that I do recommend some Mantic undead, zombies especially.

This. A head swap is all you need for a good conversion.

They're pricey, though.
