Time to pick the theme for next month's challenge! As usual, 4 options, 2 days to vote!

Legendary- Every story needs its heroes and villains. The only criteria for this subject is that the entry has a suitably epic history attached to it; this could be a special character or one taken from the lore of your game of choice, or a home-made hero (in which case a short history attached to the entry would be appreciated!)

Fun and Games- Your entry should take the form of a gaming aid rather than an actual model. This could be a terrain piece or set of scatter terrain, an objective marker, a turn counter, a wound tracker or a token to represent a certain special rule or ability. This can include models or parts of models if appropriate, the more creative the better!

Welcome To The New Age- In honour of the new 40k edition, but not limited to that game, your entry should represent a fresh start, a significant advancement or a new discovery.

Cold War- Your entry should be themed around spies, espionage and covert operations. Snipers, assassins, double agents and traitors galore!

If any of them is a good excuse to enter my Ork Cavalry conversions... Perhaps New Age, new Warbikes? Or Cold (One) War? I dunno.

Revel in the glory of the site's greatest thread or be edetid and baned!

July might be a better time for Welcome to the New Age, since 8th ed will come out mid June.

If it does, I think we might have to have an Unofficially Unofficial Challenge running alongside the main one like we did with the SLAUGHTERPRIEST WITH HACKBLADE...

I voted for Legendary (just like last month). This time around I don't think I have something for every entry, although I could perhaps make something happen.
Legendary: Roboute Guilliman would most likely be my entry. If I don't feel up to the challenge, I'd settle for Belial.
Fun and Games: No idea what I'd do for this one. Maybe I could build a little memorial shrine with my scatter die, blast markers and flamer template inside.
Welcome to the New Age: Again, no idea.
Cold War: I've got some Sniper Scouts that need paint, but if we're talking traitors, maybe the new Cypher model will have his day on my painting bench...

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000

I voted Legendary - I need something to spark some hobby life into me and get my creativity sparking. I'm thinking Legendary just might do that and I already have an idea in mind that would be perfect for it.

I think they are all pretty cool but I voted for Fun 'n' Games 'cos I think it's a pretty original one that will inspire a lot of creativity...I'd love to see what everyone comes up with!

Huh, for the first time ever we've got a genuine tie for first place. So I'm thinking we simply do one next month and the other the following ie. Legendary in June and Fun and Games in July.

That sound ok to everyone?

Sounds reasonable. Fun and Games is a pretty good fit for July as it is.

That works for me, as it gives me time to come up with something for Fun & Games. Currently I'm at a complete loss.

I was going to go with the new objective markers, but that works too.

Objective markers is a great idea! I'm sorry I might have to steal it

I've got an embarrasment of riches for Legendary - Guilliman? Cypher? Celestine? Maybe a Rancor monster from Star Wars? Or a Nazgul? Legendary Captain Nimue from Wild West Exodus?

For Fun and Games I've got absolutely nothing.
