I picked up the rules today, as they are super cheap, and I'm really keen to play. But I have a question. I may have misread the rules and I may have missed a bit that covers this:

From my understanding, while models act independently, they are still part of a unit. For instance, 3 Liberators on the table would still be a single Liberator unit, even though they can troll around wherever they want. If I had, say, a Slaughterpriest who does D6 mortal wounds to a unit within range with one of his prayers, would that affect only one model, or the other Liberators as well? If they're all randomly walking around the board, it seems odd that those wounds would kill one within range then the other wounds stack onto another member of the unit who's on the other side of the board.

So I guess the question is: do abilities that effect units apply to just one model, models within range or still to entire units?

Each model is treated as an individual unit in skirmish.

For the purposes of constructing your Warband, models count as a single Warscroll, rather than a single unit. This is to allow you to take multiples of a model without going over the 1 Warscroll per unit limit. For every purpose other than Warband construction, models are their own individual units.

So in your example, the 3 Liberators are 1 Warscroll but act as 3 individual units.

But any banners, drums, auras affect the other models from the warscroll within 6"

Remember also, that you can only have a particular Warscroll once in your force. So if you can only have 1 of "X" per Warscroll, you can't take the Warscroll twice to get 2 of X, for instance.
