Here's my 1500 pt Ogre list I've been using. It does pretty well.

2x Warrior Horde w Crushing 2 Def 4
1x Warrior Horde with Crushing 1 Def 5
1x Berserker Horde
2x goblin Scout Troop
Warlord with Crushing 3 Def 4 and the Elite magic item
Army standard
2x Warlocks

Usually put the three Warrior hordes with the Lord and Standard in the middle and either flank or screen with the Gobbos. The Warlocks and Berzerkers operate independently and usually are my MVPs.

I was goind to say that you are alredy overflowing with CS with your warrior hordes with great weapons, so the warlod doesn't need the added CS, but then i realise that the ogre hordes provide a better target for your opponent own attacks, so the warlord is probably an acceptable risk.

However the belssing of the gods is probably slightly too expensive on the warlord, as you are only buffing 7 attacks, where an ogre horde would get the benefit on 18 attacks or more on the berserkers.

Maybe try switching the warlord to a cheaper item, like the mace of crushing or the sword of slashing ?

Globally this army looks like it should be very vulnerable against certains armies, shooting should be very effective against your lower defense, and things like knights and other heavy cav will have a easier time killing your hordes on the initial charge.

The scouts are a nice option to counter those faster armies, but only two troops might not always be enough.

At least you are not totally lacking in ranged options thanks to the warlocks, but maybe one unit of shooter or boomers instead of one of the warrior hordes might be nice ?

But seeing how it is a 1500 points army, i suppose that it is a nice core and that those ranged or fast options might simply be added when increasing the army to 2000 points.

You raise some good points. My expanded 2000 pt list adds a Chariot Regiment with +1 Movement and either a Giant or Mammoth. (I've got both, so I'm going to give each one an audition.)

Blessing of the Gods went on my Warlord for thematic reasons (Why is he in charge? Gods say so, that's why! ) but on the Berzerkers it would have much more value, true.
