After a long time without the time or funds for any new armies I can finally start working on something new. Have wanted to do a big footslogging horde of berzerkers for a while so here is a list for some comments. HQ: Lord w/ Bolt Pistol, Axe of Khorne, Feel no Pain, Rage of Khorne, D. Aura, D. I'd throw in some melta-bombs on the champions to be sure that people don't just rush tanks into your squads to tie them up in hand to hand and limit your ability to make tactical decisions. Not that one gets to make many tactical decisions with this many berzerkers running around, but still...

Am thinking of dropping my 2nd dred and putting a Lt. on a bike with lightning claws and some other goodies.

It looks good, just your lord is a bit odd. Why no 2+ save ? That will help him more than a 5+ inv save seeing as its nigh impossible to shoot him as he isn't a MC. I'm guessing you'll just keep him in a zerker unit, and then charge forward straight into cc. But otherwise, looks good. Kind of lacking in Daemons, maybe drop 1-2 zerker units for Bloodletters. They're nice, they don't suffer from always going after the nearest target and have power weapons. Would be very nice combo with the bikes.

3 predators is the only thing that will make Khorne competitive in a take-all-comers list. mutation, possession, and las+2 hbs is the way I'd kit them out.
From what i've seen, 8 man walking berserker squads do not work. It lets a mobile opponent avoid you and kill one squad at a time, wiping out the all-dangerous 5 attack powerfist with ease. 16 man or bust. This also prevents someone with fast assault troops from focusing two of their squads on one of your smaller squads and killing it before initiative. It also prevents the clipping hive tyrant from ganking your squad. Oh and the outnumbering is huge against Necrons.
I'd also consider eeking out the points to give all your dudes demonic visage. The -1 can mean the game vs. Necrons very easily. They're one of your toughest opponents and you'll only get one chance to kill a squad before it's veiled out.
Plus a bunch of angry faced Khorne guys would look sweet.

some quickies: collar of khorne is a must have if I recall correctly. mind war, force weapons, blah blah etc etc. very cheap too I'd consider putting visage and a powerfist on a bike lieut, maybe even a plasma pistol. The mobility + IC protection + Feel no pain + T5 will let you punk whole squads of things by himself, instagack crisis suits, kill whole squads of anything without a powerfist. With a 3+/4+ and T5, who cares if he goes last against a few marines or crisis suits.

Maybe because a Power Fist's best armor penetration value is 14, as opposed to a melta-bomb being able to go to 20? If your squads go berserk and attack vehicles, and you whiff a penetration roll or two, they're just going to be standing around until that tank finally blows up. Trust me, it's not fun when it happens.

5 powerfist attacks at S8 v. 1 attack at 2d6+8 - I know what I'll bank on.
You have a 50% chance of even affecting a vehicle that moved with a meltabomb, whereas you're virtually guarenteed a couple hits with the powerfist.
Y'know now that I think about it, furious charge on those berserkers might not be horrible. Going first would be nice. As would S5 choppas.
