The Hype Train keeps on chugging as we near full speed into 8th Edition! With less than a week to go before the game officially launches we have a brand new Glacial Geek 8th Edition Battle Report for you! https://youtu.be/SR3ZE2xfnMs This week my Genestealer Cult take on the Eldar! The Eldar Farseers sensed the Shadow in the Warp as it grew ever closer to their system. Scout ships had verified the approach of a large Tyranid Hive Fleet. They knew that the Soul Stones on this planet had to be protected at all costs so the Eldar forces began to garrison the planet in anticipation of the Hive Fleet arrival. That is when the uprising began. The followers of the Four Armed God began over running the Eldar defenses, throwing their preparations into disarray. The Genestealer Cult were risking their lives to disrupt the defenses because the moment they had been preparing for for over a century had arrived. Their Gods were coming! Will the Eldar be able to quash the rebellion in time to save their defenses, or will the Genestealer Cult fulfill their reason for being and prepare this planet to be consumed by the approaching Hive Fleet? Watch and find out!

Great batrep! Seeing people play 8th is helping me prepare for a launch event I'm going to on Saturday at my FLGS. I'm counting down the days! As for the game, I think you hit the nail on the head when you said that character buffs are going to be key. I'm getting the same vibe looking through all the leaked info.

That Eldar army you faced is absolutely gorgeous! The lights inside the Wraithknight were really cool, and just the overall paintwork was breathtaking. Your opponent should be very proud of those models! Your game store has some pretty sweet terrain to play on, too!

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000
Check out my P&M Blogs: ZergSmasher's P&M Blog | Imperial Knights blog | Board Games blog | Total models painted in 2023: 40 | Total models painted in 2024: 12 | Current main painting project: Dark Angels

Thank you! :-D ... Yeah I'm very excited about the prospects of 8th Edition ... I think it's going to be a blast! ... Yeah, my opponent did an INCREDIBLE job on his Eldar! He's also the one who built that center piece of terrain and all the billboards on the table! :-D
