Happy father's day to all my fellow wargaming father's out there! I am looking forward to the day I can share this hobby with my son and daughter!

The daughter gave me a Tshirt as I am the newest superhero: "Worst Case Scenario Man! " The Boy gave me some good quality coffee which we brewed before taking him to the airport for his real gift to me and my Dad, going off to UCLA to work on plasma physics (yes thats a real thing) before starting his PhD in the Fall.

He'll never have to put up with the crap I did like I never had to put up with the crap Dad did. Now that is a true Father's Day present.

I'm a pretty new dad (my daughter is 2 and my son is 2 months old)

Fairly decent fathers day all in all. My wife gave me a full day off of changing diapers, and let me have full control of the TV remote.

She made me the dinner I wanted, and got me Bose q35 noise cancelling headphones that I asked for.

Also had sex, which is nice.

This was the weekend The Boy started 40k.

His uncle had given him some old 2nd end bolter huggers and some paints (still good) from that era a few weeks ago. But I wanted to hold off getting him into the game until 8th, where we could start with the new edition.

Saturday after his last soccer game of the season we hit the launch part at the FLGS. Played a doubles game vs. a bro-fist alliance of meched up BAs and footslogging necron hordes. My son and I won a close game, 8-7. Second game was just me vs. The Boy, where he pulled a close victory (He had the better list, and my dice were cold. Or so I tell myself).

Sunday we spent most of the day puttering about and painting. He’s working on a Salamanders army. I picked up a BaC box for him Sat, and will parse it out to him over the summer as he earns his allowance. Which his mother is paying him, not me Mwahaha.

Took the Boy out for dinner before returning him for the weeks. Overall a good weekend being a Dad.

Had a magnificent meal at 'Girl and the Goat' with the family, was given a bottle of one of my favorite Bourbons and the best news about the day was the fact that 3 days before, I was given the all clear on a "C" scare, so I celebrated the day with a proverbial ton of bricks off my shoulders.

Got to celebrate my first fathers day, my daughter was two days old. Spent a fun filled day watching her under the lights in the hospital. Fed her for the first time, that was cool.

Congrats Bromsy! Nothing more special than seeing and holding your little one for the first time. Get ready though she is going to have you wrapped around her finger before you know it.

Everytime my daughter is showing my wife something she wants she follows it up with "daddy buy at store".

Crazy how fast they learn!

You know that doesn't change right? They just get more expensive.

It is even worse when they use the digital shopping cart.
