It's the beginning of a new week and the dawn of a new era in Warhammer! With the new edition of 40K officially released it's time to start building some armies and playing some games! To aid in either, how about a brand-new Glacial Geek 8th Edition Battle Report?! https://youtu.be/Kgp-0MBLk9A This week my Deathwatch take on the Iron Hands Space Marines! The battle had finished and the xenos forces had been either killed or driven off planet. Within the ruins of what had been a bustling Imperial city lay the fallen xenos weapons and artifacts left behind by dead or fleeing warriors. These devices held untold secrets that would be prized by many. Two such groups wanted them for themselves. The Mechanicus convinced a force of Iron Hands to go out and collect the technology for them, while the Inquisition's Ordo Xenos sent forth a group of Deathwatch to go collect the xenos tech for them. When the two groups met they begrudgingly took up arms against each other to achieve their mission goals. Will the Iron Hands be able to collect the xenos tech to the Mechanicus in return for their continued ministrations, or will the Deathwatch prove the stronger ally for the Ordo Xenos in this race for the artifacts? Watch and find out!

Yeowch... always hurts getting "Flawless Victory"d, huh? You probably shouldn't have been letting your opponent play with your dice. That said, I think this is a sign of things to come. Dreadnoughts of all flavors look to be seriously deadly now, which is cool by me since I love the models!

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000
Check out my P&M Blogs: ZergSmasher's P&M Blog | Imperial Knights blog | Board Games blog | Total models painted in 2023: 40 | Total models painted in 2024: 12 | Current main painting project: Dark Angels

Yeah, the fact that his army is so well done helped ease the pain ;-) ... But yeah, Dreadnoughts are a force to be reckoned with in this edition!
