Necrons

Destroyer Lord w Phylactery & WS
10 x Immortals
10 x Warriors
3 x 3 Tomb Blades with Tesla
Overlord w Orb & WS
2 x 2 Heavy Destroyers
1 x Triarch Stalker with Shredder
1 x Annihilation Barge

Opponent played a large 'footdar' list with 4 HQs inc Maugan & Feugan & Illic with a Vyper, two squads of Dark Reapers, a Support Battery, two squads of Windriders and a squad of Fire Dragons with lots of Guardian Defenders (turns out this list wasn't legal)

I played this game last night, Edlar player made plenty of deployment mistakes by his own admission, which allowed me to mow down a far bit in turns one and two, but those Eldar HQs are hard as nails with Last to Fall (old school FnP). They all lasted until the end and put pressure on for the objectives until turn 5. Necron victory in the end.

A few things i took from the game:

- Destroyer Lords are still great in combat with WS
- Heavy Destroyers still aren't hugely reliable AV with only one shot, usually only wounding vehicles on 3s
- Tesla is awesome on Tomb Blades. Four shots each, a 3+ save with upgrades which can be pushed to a 2+ in cover and 14" movement is REALLY good
- Tesla on Immortals with any HQs with MWBD is great. I was throwing out 25ish hits with them for the first couple of turns
- Not sure if taking a Stalker is worth it just to reroll ones at the unit it fires at
- QS and LM are GREAT for vehicles. My Stalker took around 7/8 wounds through the game and ended it with its full quota of 10

Overall lots to be positive about for Necron players i think. In future i'm going to try all the builds suggested by others here, like Deceiver Bombs and using Scarabs as meatshields etc. but Tesla and our vehicles give us lots to enjoy!

Thanks for the summary, keep up the good work!

Did you find any problems running many smaller units since RP likes larger units.
Good to hear about the Tomb Blades. Did they have Nebuloscopes?
I have been thinking about using a max sized Tomb Blade unit with Tesla.
The won't be as easy to give cover, but they will be hard to remove.
