Converted this guy from an old Sword Brother metal, simply swapping the pistol hand for one carrying a helm. It's a bit of a departure from my usual work stylistically, with more of an emphasis on strong contrast and the incorporation of a mini-diorama base, but as an experiment I am rather pleased with the results.

Yup, that's one fine lookin' xenophobe!

Seriously though, nice work on the gritty feel of the mini.

I'll be honest. Never been a fan of Black Templars (all black, or nearly all black armies bore me). However my love of old moustachioed warlords...means that I like this model. Love the head. Awesome job on the brush side of things.

I'd like to see a brighter white on the cloak, but I know you have a very specific palette/aesthetic.

Thanks folks!

@Elbows: Yeah, the head was a big part of what got me to pick up this model (initially, I wanted to do Helbrecht or Grimaldus, but couldn't track them down), it's got a real sense of character and expression to it, above and beyond even a lot of SM named character sculpts.

The Grim Dark just drips from this model.

Just forgot what I was going to say.
